  • Name that film! American movie, French actress, engagement ring is a wire tap!?

This was a great FBI/CIA/conspiracy movie, but all I can remember is this one scene. I think the boyfriend and French girlfriend are out on the balcony when it is revealed that all through out the movie, the way the bad guys have been getting info on the boyfriend is because there is a bug inside the girlfriend's engagement ring. It was fairly new, came out at maybe 2008 or 2009. Any help, like maybe a actor's name or something would be greatly appreciated. It's driving me crazy!

  • Why does my Indian husband act ashamed of being married to an American?

My husband is from North India, but came to US 2 years ago to get his masters in petrol engineering. We were neighbors when he first moved here, and we have been together a little over a year. He never told his parents that we were dating, which I understand. I get that he didn't want to be lectured and stuff over a girl that he didn't think he had a future with, but I feel like once we decided to get married, he should have mentioned me to his family. We sent wedding invitations to his friends in India and one of them got leaked to his sister. He (somehow) convinced her that it was just a joke, which was pretty hurtful to me. One of his cousins lives in the same city that we do, and she knows that we are married, but he refuses to take me to meet her. He once told me that he wanted to go buy me some Indian clothes so that I wouldn't look like "white trash" when he finally takes me to meet her. He will be going home to visit in August, and he says he will tell his family that we are dating. We will have been married for 4 months when he takes his trip.

I wish I could understand why he is hiding me. We are married and his parents have no clue! I tell him that they will resent him hiding this major event from them, but he says it's for the best.

I am nothing to be ashamed of. I am not the typical ignorant American. I am educated, and one of the things he says he loved about me from the very beginning is how accepting I am of his culture. I loved Bollywood movies before I ever even met him, I love Indian food, and I'm even learning Hindi! Although, I know these are not qualities Indian parents look for in a daughter in law, right? Also, I'm afraid of the repercussions of this whole situation. What will be his parent's reactions? What are the chances that I (or both of us) will be shunned? I am just looking for some opinions. He doesn't like to talk about his family to me, so I'm going into this completely blind!

P.S. No, he did not marry me for a green card.

Thanks for any help or insight.

  • Help an Austinite have fun in Houston?

So I lived in Austin for 2 years, and I loved every second of it. My husband got a job here in Houston (Energy Corridor more specifically) and I am absolutely miserable. Can anyone think of some fun, funky places to go spend the day.

All I have seen around here is office buildings and places that cater to the business man. Nothing fun!! Just fussy restaurants and stuffy stores.

About me. I'm 21. A pastry chef, so any local popular famous bakery or cupcakery would be awesome. A chocolate shop or something unique. My husband is Indian, so we would really like to search out an Indian community with shops and restaurants (I know you have to have something like that here!) Something akin to Barton Springs in Austin. Or any general ideas for things I could do other than stay at home and clean.....

    Thanks in advance.

  • What insect could bite me over 125 times without me ever seeing it?

So about 2 weeks ago, I noticed a very large bug bite on the side of my foot. I didn't pay much attention to it, just thought it was a mosquito bite. About 3 or 4 days later, my husband pointed out several tiny red bumps on the top of my foot and around my ankle. I hadn't even noticed them, but after he showed them to me, they became very itchy. Over the next week ONE HUNDRED AND TWENTY FIVE bites have appeared on my feet, legs, thighs, back, and arms. I went to the doctor thinking I was having a severe allergic reaction, but she said it definitely was bug bites, probably fleas, so I called an exterminator. He did tests, looked around, flipped over the mattress and couch cushions and couldn't find anything. The next day I had gotten 4 more bites, so I insisted he come back over and do something. He blindly bombed the house, and I didn't notice any new bites until a day and a half later. Today I have almost 10 new bites, including one on my finger and 2 on my wrist.

Now, my question is......what kind of insect could live unnoticed in my apartment, live through a professional extermination, and bite me so many times without me ever seeing one on me or feeling one on me. The bumps start out small red dots with a white halo (as the dr called it) They grow to be big bumps (like a mosquito bite) with a very large red area around it. They itch like crazy and dry up and scab over after a couple of days of slathering cortizone cream on them. My husband has yet to experience a single bite or a second of irritation or itching. (He is Indian, I am white if that makes any difference. We do sleep in the same bed, use the same soap and shampoo, I wash all of our clothes in the same detergent.) I don't go outside hardly at all (maybe 15 minutes a week on my balcony) I have soaked and washed all of my bedding and clothes in hot water like 5 times and dried them on high heat. Also, we don't have any pets. My husband said he had seen bed bugs and bed bug bites before in his life, and these were definitely not bed bugs. I grew up in a house with lots of animals, I know you can see and feel fleas on you if you have them, and I have never felt anything crawling around on me.

I'm really desperate for answers. Any help, any clues would be very very appreciated. Thanks.

  • Help me figure out what this famous 80s techno song is!?

I hate it when people do this, but the song goes do doo do dodododo dooo do do dodododo do do doo doooo dodo dodo and then there's drums drun drun drun and then some keyboard.

It's a very famous 80s instrumental electric song. I feel like it was a tv show theme song, and perhaps someway related to Punky Brewster, but then I'm pretty sure it was on the radio and even had it's own music video.

I think the music video was animated.

Please help me, it's driving me crazy. Any help or hints or information at all is greatly appreciated!!!
