  • 1996 Ford Bronco 351W EGR question?

If you got a 96 bronco with stock 351W engine can you do me a solid and take a look at it and tell me where exactly the EGR Valve is, and if it taps into manifold or head? I'm planning a build and am no where near my bronco and wont be anytime soon. im replacing the heads with GT40's and want to avoid removing the egr system and the headache that follows. I believe in 96 ford used a different egr setup then previous years and need to get all my facts straight.

  • Can I cancel an Air Force enlistment extension for this reason?

I broke my leg Severely in a motorcycle accident in June of 2018 requiring hardware, i pcs’d to turkey 4 months later which was barely enough time to heal but I did it. A year and some change later It’s unlikely I’ll ever run again and I have one more no run pt test to take before I get a 365 profile and I’m evaluated for medical discharge. My problem is I extended 18 months To my 4 year contract before I pcs’d so that I could get a follow-on after turkey, I was naive and didn't know what to expect after my injury and extended without thinking. I don’t want to stay in and pro- long the inevitable I will not make a career of the military with a bad leg and wish to start my life outside of the military as soon as possible. I currently have 2 years left on my enlistment which includes my 18 month extension. If I were allowed to cancel my follow on assignment and extension i would have 7 months left. I’ve thought this over a lot and I’m ready to get out I have plenty of work lined up can anyone give some insight.

  • question about coulombs in electronics?

a coulomb is an electric charge that travels a distance in 1 second. how is the distance that the coulomb has traveled relevant to the definition? would the length of a wire be the distance? so for example 10 amps travels a 20 foot span of wire in one second. i'm trying to learn this concept but its confusing me.

  • electronic principal question coulombs joules and energy?

i'm learning this for my own reference as it interests me. i'm curious about how energy pertains to joules and coulombs. I don't understand how coulombs are equal to a constant amount of electrons but voltage is the measurement of energy or work per 1 coulomb. how can 1 coulomb do more work by adding joules with the same amount of electrons. i'm at the conclusion that the difference in potential aka. voltage is simply the measure of force behind current. am i over complicating this or is it that simple?

  • Active duty military dealing with a medical debt collector ?

Stayed at a hospital over a year ago and just recently received phone calls from capio partners LLC (debt collector) saying I have debt with the hospital I stayed at. Let me first establish that I have verified with the hospital that this isn’t a scam. NOW I am covered under tricare and this matter and this is in no way my problem. Both tricare and capio are forcing me to be the middle man in this matter and i need some advice. I’m calling the debt collector later today, is there something I can say to them that will immediately make them get off my @ss? They are threatening my credit score and I’m trying to do as much as possible but I’ve PCS’d since then and am on the other side of the world

  • Estimated cost for this type of surgery and hospital stay?

I broke my leg about a year and a half ago requiring surgery and about 4 days in the hospital. I got an intramedullary nail put in my tibia as well as a 2 incision 4 compartment fasciotomy. I’m in the military and had just recently talked with tricare about all of my claims and they mentioned that they were billed well over $200,000 in total for the entire ordeal, the accident happend off base therefor I was taken to a hospital off base. This was insane to hear Such an outrageous number for 4 days  . Is this price gouging the government or what? I really want to know because this was the first time I went the hospital for a serious injury.

Handmade Turkish rug good deal ?

I bought this 5x7 Turkish rug (in turkey) recently and I’m obviously curious if this is a legit rug. It’s handmade with a tag on the back and I also have a signed letter of authenticity from the dealer. I got it for 1,100 usd. In a world filled with liars and thieves I just want some insight from anyone who knows more about these then I do. It’s a beautiful rug and I personally like it but I’m more curious about the value. Also what part of turkey is stated in the origin I’m not too spun up on the turkish.

  • active duty military questions about switching residency to Connecticut?

Ok so basically im active duty stationed overseas. my residency goes Connecticut (home of record)>Florida. However i will never live in florida again in the foreseeable future and would like to get my license in CT again and register a motorcycle for when im home on leave. I am trying to figure out a way i could register a vehicle in CT as a non resident to avoid paying income tax for a state that i will not reside in for at least 2 more years. is there any accomodations CT DMV would make for military on OCONUS orders or is this wishful thinking? If i had orders in CT this would be a lot simpler ordeal but i dont. any advice would be helpful.

Is there anyway to get around this?

  • car crash while in military dep?

in delayed entry program for the united states air force, leaving in 40 days. Pulling into work the other day i drove over a large patch of snow, hit the brakes and slid into the rearend of a parked car in the parking lot. fortunately no one was in the parked car, i wasn't hurt and the person who owned the car is my coworker and somewhat friend so no cops were involved in any way and there won't be any legal action taken. i haven't told my recruiter about this incident yet because up until today i was going to pay for damages out of pocket so insurance rates wouldn't go up. unfortunately damages were more then i could afford and insurance had to be involved. should i tell my recruiter about this incident and risk repercussions or can I get by without the military finding out???? will military even look at car insurance records?

Confused on oil system in 96 seadoo xp with 787 rotax.?

Just rebuilt Rotax 787/800 engine. Currently in the process of hooking up cooling system and oil system. Although i'm blocking off the oil pump and premixing fuel, i'm still hooking up oil return hoses from crankcase to oil reservoir. There are some questions i have about the cooling system conflicting with oil system. it seems that oil return runs through the oil level sensor and to a water indicator on the front of the hull which confused me.. why would a water indicator be hooked up to an oil return line??? its not part of the cooling system because it goes directly to the oil reservoir. I attached a screenshot of the shop manual that i edited to show you what im talking about.

  • 1998 or 99 polaris indy trail 488/500 with no spark?

helping a friend fix up his sled for winter. its been sitting outside for awhile. the engine turns over with good compression. but no spark at the plugs. not familiar with polaris ignition systems, what type of ignition system does this use? could be as simple as a bad ignition coil. what are the other possible issues if it turns out not to be the coil.

  • 1996 seadoo xp ignition questions.?

i just bought a 1996 seadoo xp with a 787 rotax. I bought it to rebuild since it had sank and waterlogged the engine. Now that i've rebuilt the engine ive ran into some ignition problems. first of all i need a new dess key and will get it reprogrammed with mpem. however im curious about what the dess key has control over. without the dess key ive noticed that i have no power to the ignition coil therefore no spark when turning the motor over (im bypassing the starter relay). question 1- will not having a dess key plugged in prohibit power to ignition coil? Question 2- is power supposed to be going to the stator plug? ive taken a 12 volt test light and probed the plug to stator, all 6 wires to stator are recieving power from battery..

  • balance shaft alignment on 787 rotax engine NO GEAR MARKS?

I am working on a carbureted 787 rotax engine out of a 1996 seadoo xp it needs new crankshaft bearings. ive taken the crankshaft out of the crankcase and noticed there are NOT any marks on the crankshaft gear that meets up with the balance shaft gear. I've been looking everywhere on the web on how to line these 2 gears up properly and came up empty handed. all other seadoo engines ive seen have marks on the crankshaft gear and the balance shaft gear so its impossible to mess it up. Im clueless on how to set this right. can anybody help me out? is there supposed to be marks on this crankshaft? the service manual hasnt really helped me out at all

  • 1988 evinrude 60 hp 2 stroke bogs down under load in a body of water?

just got this outboard last year for a steal, $200 bucks! Previous owner said it ran last he used it except it sat for years. It runs pretty good out of water with the garden hose adapter, however i took it out for its maiden voyage on a lake this past weekend and it bogs down when i give it more gas. after a minute or so of the engine struggling at half throttle it will randomly build up rpm's and i can get it up to its max speed. i think i might have put two much oil in the premix fuel which could be the cause. i replaced spark plugs my only other guess is the carb could be cleaned. any suggestions?

  • Is my power supply the reason why this desktop keeps restarting?

Trying to fix my parents desktop, my dad owns a business and this was the business computer. In good timing as soon as they finished transferring over business files to the new computer this one sh*t the bed a few days later. The first issue was that the pc would boot up, get to the windows loading screen for a split second, shut off, reboot and do the same thing over and over. This issue kind of snowballed into a more aggressive restarting. now instead of booting up to the windows load screen it just keeps restarting every few seconds. I feel ive done everything to my knowledge. i've reset cmos countless times, replaced cmos battery, swapped hard drive to see if it booted, replaced ram. the only thing that i havent done is replaced the power supply and after all my parents weren't so good with shutting down this pc meaning its been turned on most of its life, so it would make sense if the damn thing burnt out, research says that a dead/near dead psu can cause a lot of issues so maybe that the problem. I'm just asking this for opinions hoping theres something i missed. im pretty good with computers but a little help doesnt hurt. thanks!
