Im a senior in high school and our debate team was having a debate on this topic....I feel that most crimes made by poor people are petty.not all i say some crimes..like theft..what are your thoughts to this..
"Are poor people less likely than rich people to return to court? Are poor people less likely than rich people to remain law-abiding? Does it make sense that there are mostly poor people in jail awaiting trial and not many rich? And that we are paying for this?"

1 AnswerLaw Enforcement & Police1 decade agoWhat do you see as possible impediments to cultural change in criminal justice agencies?
I see is the older people dealing with this in a different way than younger people. I think it will work out, but the older people will have some impact on new people who they hire from a different culture, and they will not understand some of the person’s ways and how they would deal with certain something’s differently than they would, One person might be really scared in certain situations and the other person might be very cool about it, everyone is different.
We all have to learn how to walk and it is the same we have to learn how others react to certain situations, think about certain situation and talk about it and work it out. Learn about the others culture and give a little, one culture is just as curious as the other.
what do you think?
