Why do stars flicker in the night sky?
I was under the impression it is because of the chemical reactions happening on the stars surface and the light traveling to Earth but someone had mentioned that it might actually be the fluctuations in the light waves hitting our eyes... not really sure, both could be correct, any ideas out there?
Thanks!
8 AnswersAstronomy & Space1 decade agoWhat is the best handgun to start my firearms collection?
Hey all,
Im a 25 year old male standing 6'5. I'm just getting into the gun culture and looking for all types of pointers to start my collection...
I'm looking for a quality handgun to start shooting at the range and to start my collection with. I have no real need for concealment as it will be for use at the range, for fun deep in the MD woods at my friends targets and chamber empty around the house, but bullets near by in case of emergency (no kids, it's just me and the roomie). I have had some suggestions given to me... Sig .45 - P220, Glock 21, Para expert GI, even the Springfield XD line. Some people have also mentioned the .40cal guns are a good starting point but it seems that most people think I should go with the .45 caliber to start.
Im just looking for some ideas, I probably need to find a range which will let me try out a bunch of different guns but that seems to be hard here around Baltimore so I may need to make a decision then get set for firearms training.
Thanks all!! Any recommendations are very appreciated!

1 AnswerBooks & Authors1 decade agoCan someone please help me find this old car commercial?
I think it's an old Toyota commercial, and I think the narrator is Kenny Mayne from ESPN.
The scene takes place at a long jump sand pit and I believe the car drives into the pit and Mayne says, "The man in the hat says thats not very good."
Any ideas??
