I am a proud mother of 2 wonderful boys and 3 beautiful step children. I am a scrapbooker with a problem...can't get enough! LOVE IT! I am currently working from home, having recently started my own business making and selling greeting cards and gift baskets, although I TRULY belong in the medical field! I may not have the most exciting life but it's MY LIFE!

  • Is it possible to have ovarian cancer without having ovaries?

I thought this was the silliest question ever, until last week. I had a hysterectomy in 2001, followed by 2 separate surgeries to remove my ovaries and tubes. I had a sonogram following some pelvic pain and it was found that I had a large cyst and 2 masses, about the size of "small lemons". I am having surgery next week, via a gynecology oncologist, to remove what they are describing as "very likely ovarian cancer". The only explanation I am getting for the absence of ovaries is that when I had the hyst and removal of my ovaries, there may have

been some ovarian tissue left. Just curious to see if anyone else has ever heard of this. I have had 3 docs tell me the same thing (those were my 2nd and 3rd opinions). Only serious follow-up please??!??

  • Do I work on the marriage or let it go?

My husband and I have been married 18 months and for 17 months he was in Iraq. He is home now and I just found out that he is seeing 2 women. He says they are only friends but one of these "friends" has went so far as to leave messages on his voicemail (yes I checked it) telling him at 3 in the morning that she misses him and wants to lay next to him. I thought my mind was made up and I would go ahead with a divorce. I gave 17 months of my life 100% dedicated to this man while he was half a world away fighting a war and NEVER contemplated straying. I lost many nights of sleep, not knowing if my husband would even come home from the war. My gut tells me to divorce him. But I keep wondering if I can learn to forgive and forget and eventually trust him again. This is complicated by the fact that we were best friends for 4 years BEFORE we got married. We have 5 children between us (none together) so there's even more to consider.

If I ultimately want happiness,do I stay or do I go??

  • How do I approach my friend regarding her baby's health?

Yesterday, a friend brought her baby to my house. I noticed right away that her baby, who is one month old, looked a little yellow (her skin and the whites of her eyes) which to me suggests jaundice. Then, I changed her diaper and she had a green, thick, slimy discharge coming from her vagina. This friend is one of those people who thinks she knows everything there is to know as a first time mother, as does her husband. Besides that, she thinks her baby is perfect in every way. I have a feeling that by telling her, she will somehow feel like I am being mean to her and stop talking to me. Then even after that, she still probably won't take the baby to get it checked out! Any suggestions? I have the baby's best interest at hand, so I am tempted to just tell her and take the risk of her not speaking. But more than anything I feel like I will just be wasting my breath because like I said, I can tell her and she still won't take her in! HELP!!!

  • Trouble in Paradise?

I am married and my husband is currently in Iraq. We have only been married a year and he has been gone that entire time. In the beginning everything was WONDERFUL. Now, he won't send me ANY money, I e-mail and he doesn't e-mail back. I send him care packages and half the time I don't know if he gets them because he never says anything about them. I am not sure what to think. This is so uncharacteristic of him. What should I do? Seems everyone is having issues with their significant others over there. I am not ready to be a divorcee but at the same time, I think I deserve some type of explanation. Only serious answers please!

  • Military Relationship?

My friends husband is currently stationed in Iraq. She lives with her mother (with her children) until he ocmes home. He has been there since they got married. He does not send her any money to take care of bills and she currently isn't working. Does he have a obligation from the military to financially support her while he is away? I say yes but she said he can if he wants to, but he said he doesn't HAVE to.
