Should I take the blame for this?
My wife just texted me asking if I'd seen her passport photos she'd left in our spare room. they've been in an envelope on top of the scanner with the passport forms for about two months. I replied that I'd not seen them and gave some suggestions for where they may be if they'd fallen off or been moved by either of us to get to the scanner to use it.
She then replied saying I used the room more than her so I'd have to pay for them if they're lost.
Surely this is her fault for leaving them in an open place for two months? I honestly don't recall moving them but somehow it's my fault and now she's mad at me for moving them, even though I haven't! She says I need t accept responsibility for things and that I never accept blame, but when I honestly haven't done something I don't think that's very fair.
6 AnswersMarriage & Divorce9 years agoHow can I convince my fiance I'm not lazy?
I'm getting married in eight weeks and recently moved into my fiance's home. I've told her many times that I'm bad at noticing things that need doing around the house, but am always happy to do jobs once she's pointed them out to me.
She's just got back from a weekend away with her Mother to find I've not done the laundry and didn't notice that the flowers in the lounge have died. She's convinced that I want her to run around after me all the time and is one of these people that spends a lot of her time off work doing housework. she keeps the house spotless and much cleaner than I'm ever used to living.
What can I do??? She goes mental when I say she needs to point things out to me, claiming that if she needs to do that then she may as well do it herself.
3 AnswersMarriage & Divorce9 years agoGirlfriend thinks I'm intimidated by her?
MY girlfriend accused me of being intimidated by her because I agree with her and always do things to please her.
The truth is, I agree on everything because I truly do agree with her, and I do things to make her happy because I love her and want her to be happy.
Maybe I should put myself first more? I do make myself available for her when ever I can, but that's because we don't get to see much of each other.
She's been single for a long time and I think she may just be having trouble having someone else in her life. She says she loves me and talks about things we can do together in the future, such as holidays and places to visit but sometimes it just feels like she's getting bored and needing me to challenge her more.

I think I was born with a permenant frown on my face. At school I used to get told I looked miserable, at work people say I look grumpy all the tiem, and at home my girlfriend thinks I'm not enjoying myself when we go out and even says she's worried people think I'm being rude by not smiling and looking happy.
I am happy though, and I love going out and meeting my girlfriends friends and family, I'm just not a msiley person, I think I look weird when I smile so I've got into the habit of not smiling much.

2 AnswersSingles & Dating1 decade agoWorried about getting muscular?
I've always wanted to build myself up and be very muscular, not in an arnie way, but more a jean claude van damme type build, I train in taekwondo martial arts and have virtually no body fat and already a good amount of muscle.
My girlfreind has told me she's not sure she'd like me if I got too big. So now I'm worried about doing weight training incase she goes off me. I know you might say she's not the right woman for me if she won't accept what I want to do, or maybe she's not thought it about it, and would acutally like me bigger.... opinions?

It just seemed to be full of lines they'd stolen from the other terminator films and I thought the story was boring and didn't make much sense.
6 AnswersComics & Animation1 decade agoDid I cross the line with my new girlfriend?
I've started seeing this girl (well, women really, she's 32 and I'm 29), we've been out 5 times, including a trip down to London for a ride on the London eye, which was really romantic). She invited me over to hers last weekend. I got here about 8:30 at night, we got a takeaway and ate at hers, then we sat listening to muscia dn basically just chatting and kissing on the sofa for an hour or so. It was getting late so I asked if she wanted me to stay over, she said no, but didn't look angry that I'd asked, maybe a little embaressed but that's it. everything was fine, we carried on kissing and I went home about an hour later.
We've been texting during the week and I'm spending the day with her on Sunday. But my question is: Should I apologise for asking about staying over or not say anything? I don't want her to think I was after sex, because really I wasn't, I just wanted to check with her whether she wanted me to stay or not.

2 AnswersSingles & Dating1 decade agoMy ex owes me a lot of money?
My ex, who I broke up with five months ago, owes me over a thousand pounds. Made up from bills, the last months rent, and things ages ago she wanted to borrow money for.
Now she's saying she can't afford to pay me back because she's moved into somewhere that far too expensive for her and doesn't ever have any spare money. She also thinks I should let her off because I have a higher wage than her (even though she kept refusing to get a higher paid job because she thought it would be boring).
Now we're getting into massive email augments where I basically say that if you borrow money from someone, then you should pay them back, it's that simpl
3 AnswersOther - Family & Relationships1 decade agoDo all fat people over eat?
I always say that fat people are fat because they eat too much and un-healthy food.
So all fat people can get slimmer by eating proper foods and being more physically active right?
Is this true, or can you be fat even if you eat right and exercise?
7 AnswersDiet & Fitness1 decade agoDoes the UK have the right to attack the USA?
Israel are bombing Gaza due to Gaza having terrorists living among them.
America has terrorists living among them to, just like most other countries. Does that mean the UK would have the right to attack America, and simply claim that the loss of civilian lives, as is happening in Gaza is unavoidable and all part of the war on terror? Because that's what Israel are claiming. I personally think the Israeli army are murderers, and it's sad that the western world is supporting this.
9 AnswersGovernment1 decade agoNeed advice on dating a work mate?
A new girl started at my office a few months ago, we've chatted a few times, done some training days together and both been on a company night out for a curry. She's really nice and we get on very well. I'm out the office a lot though cause my work involves working out the country a lot, so I've not seen her every day since she started.
Anyway, I mailed her just before christmas saying "Hiya,
Hope you have a good christmas and have a fun new year night out planned.
Would you fancy going out for a drink before new year or later on in January after I'm finished in Dubai?
No problem if you don't. I just thought I'd ask.
Have a good christmas
Andy"
She replied back with:
"Merry Christmas to you to. Afraid I'm unlikely to manage a drink before new year, as am off to visit family in Bristol. Later in January is a possible.
Have a good holiday and good luck in Dubai.
Sarah"
Now basically, does it sound like she will come out for a drink? I don't know whether to chase her up on it to set a date, If you were a girl and I mailed you what I sent her, would you take that as asking you out on a date? Or would you assume I just meant as friends? Like I said, we get on really well but there's been no flirting or anything to imply I was interested in her.
4 AnswersSingles & Dating1 decade agoAm I being unfair to my soon to be ex-girlfriend?
My girlfriend and I are breaking up but currently live in the same house. Because I work away a lot, I'm moving my stuff to my parents who live near by and then will look at getitng my own place in a few months when I'm back home for long enough to plan it.
Our lease runs out on our house at the beginning of January so we have to pay rent until then, we normally split the rent and pay half each.
She's just emailed me now saying she wants to move out a month early and because I earn more than her, that she think's it's fair that I pay her rent for December.
I think considering that she still owes me £600 from other things she's borrowed money from, that I'd be stupid to say okay and pay it, especially as we're breaking up and aren't married or anything. Yes I eanr more than her, but that's because I've worked hard to get where I am and I don't see why that means I have to give my money to people who earn less than me. BTW, she's not made any effort to pay me back the money she still owes me. And I'm personally in £20,000 debt to bank which is going to take me years to pay back, even on my higher salary.
15 AnswersSingles & Dating1 decade agoWhy is public transport so expensive?
I have friends who live just over a hundred miles from me, why is it that it costs the same for me to drive in my 30mpg car as it does to take the train or the coach? Where's the incentive for me to ditch the car and use the bus or train?
5 AnswersOther - Cars & Transportation1 decade agoHow expensive is using LPG gas?
We have these large (4.5 foot tall) orange gas cylincer's in our garden. We've lived in our rented house for four months and haven't had to touch them. We use the gas for heating and hot water. What's the cost of this gas? For example, how much does it cost to have a radiator on for 24 hours at the top setting?
I try to turn off all un-needed radiators but some, such as living room and bedroom really need to be on sometimes.
