I need to find out what the best options for me regarding ereaders. Which ereader allows me to upload ebooks from my desktop using a usb connection. Hopefully, the Kindle 3 allows this.

I want a bare-bones e-reader. I don't need wireless connectivity. I'd like a dictionary. I'd like to be able to upload different formats from my computer. Which is best? Price-wise and functionally. I've heard of the kobo but know little about any of them. Also some e- readers use their own proprietary software that forces you to buy their line of books. Any suggestion?

Is there a way to use the mouse as a backward and forward in explorer? Not IE. In windows folders.
