I'd like to be pointed towards several resources or theories on the subject. If this was the 50's I wouldn't ask, but we seem to be in an adjustment period right now, struggling to redefine our roles blindly...

My uncle (recently in good health) has developed a condition where his jaw twitches uncontrollably and has problems keeping his eyes open. He's not tired. He says that when he concentrates on something like a conversation or a puzzle that it subsides a bit, but when he's fairly unactive (just standing around, walking, laying in bed) it starts to really bother him. It's a rather fast constant twitching of the Jaw and neck, with "tired, heavy feeling" eye lids. The doctors are dumbfounded so far. He lives in a farm town and I fear the diagnosis efforts are substandard. Had an MRI and blood work done. Any ideas?
