  • Cons, is this your favorite part in the Bible?

"For I was a stranger, and you had me deported; I was in need of clothes, and you bought yourself more clothes; I was sick, and you told me that you wouldn't pay for my healthcare; I was in prison, and you said I got myself in there in the first place."

This is, of course, from the Gospel of Supply-Side Jesus (AKA- The Distortion of the Bible that justifies core blasphemy).

  • Rappers like Nas, Immortal Technique, and Canibus?

I love hip hop, as long as it's not superficial and watered-down like Trey Songz or Drake. Anything hardhitting, and preferably underground that you guys in RHH can recommend?

  • Why are Cons so desperate to make Obama look bad?

I'm saying this not only because of the stupid birth certificate conspiracy theory, or the theory he's a Muslim. Although those are the most incoherent beliefs with no empirical proof, I'm also bringing this up because of the democracy Egypt has become. If this was George Bush or Ronald Reagan in office and not Obama, you guys would be taking credit for it. Tyranny was never supported by conservatives up until the defamity of Mubarak. Can somebody please explain the benefit of these "Make Obama Look Bad Out of Sheer Desperation" tactics?

  • Why do conservatives do whatever it takes to demonize Obama?

Even if he found the cure for cancer, you guys would still find a reason to call him a Marxist, a fascist, or a Nazi. It's because no matter what he does, you will do whatever it takes to make him look bad. You guys are brainwashed.

When George Bush made peace negotiations with Libya to end their nuclear program, I didn't see any liberal pundits trash Bush for it. Obama can do the most innocent thing that does good for so many people, yet you will still try to demonize him.

Don't be like Fox News. Be fair and balanced.

  • Why did Rand Paul do this?

The Senate voted today 96-1 to make pointing a laser pointer at an aircraft or jetliner a Federal crime! The 1 person voting NO was Rand Paul.

What logic comes out of that?

  • Why are people blaming others for the Recession?

Recessions happen. On average, every 20 years or so.

The reason why is because businesses fail. Stocks fail. Our economy isn't as stable as we think. Reason being Wall Street is a major pinnacle of it.

Have you ever invested in stock? It's practical gambling. The Recession happened because of the Mortgage Crisis and the Bank Crisis, and the Government had nothing to do with that until TARP purchased assets from them.

You can't blame Bush, Obama, Reagan, Carter, or the Republican/Democratic Congress for it. The private sector had everything to do with it.

You know what that's called? Capitalism.

  • Republicans, define "forcible rape".?

'The limitations established in sections 301, 302, 303, and 304 shall not apply to an abortion--

'(1) if the pregnancy occurred because the pregnant female was the subject of an act of forcible rape or, if a minor, an act of incest; or

'(2) in the case where the pregnant female suffers from a physical disorder, physical injury, or physical illness that would, as certified by a physician, place the pregnant female in danger of death unless an abortion is performed, including a life-endangering physical condition caused by or arising from the pregnancy itself.

    ----

That said, there's no definition of forcible rape on the bill. If a girl gets pregnant from a choice she didn't make, the government should not limit her choice by withholding the funding she could use to end the pregnancy -- if she chooses to do so.

  • I'm losing interest in her?

I've dated for about 10 months, and recently, taking her out and doing things with her has seemed more like a chore than anything else.

I know it's a problem for me to lose interest, but seriously, we've been arguing a lot lately. I respect her more than ever, and I want the best for her. That's why I've been so reluctant to break up with her.

Far be it that I want to end the relationship, because it's been the most rewarding. But with the frequent arguments over the littlest ****, I think we're getting to a low point.

I don't want to be a jerk about it. In fact, I want to be as nice about it as I can and show her I mean well. She's gonna think I'm a jerk for it though. What should I do?

  • Why are liberals so demonized by conservatives?

We're socialists, we're godless, we don't care about babies, we allow terrorism, we allow a higher death toll, we care about the environment and are therefore nut jobs, we promote tyranny, we're Communists, we're Nazis, Obama is Hitler...

How much hyperbole are you guys going to use before you can make a valid argument? Satire is okay every once in a while, but seriously, at least make me want to take you seriously.

  • Would our healthcare be better if we did the same thing Greece did (as far as cancer goes)?

In Greece, if you have cancer, doctors will take a cancer cell out of your blood, grow it on a tray until it's visible to the eye. Then, they take four different substances and figure out which one has a potent effect on the cancer cells. Whichever one is the most potent will be used to kill the cancer. For the past 25 years, it has worked.

But guess what... This is illegal in the US, because the drug companies haven't come up with it and are therefore not making money off of it. What do you guys think?

  • 14th amendment question...?

One part of the US Constitution is the 14th Amendment, which states that no person shall be deprived of rights without due process of law. Those who profess their reverence to the Constitution should therefore conclude that unemployed immigrants should have the rights of any other person.

To be sure, the Courts over the years radically changed the 14th Amendment in the interests of privilege and power. They expanded the notion “person” to include corporations, and later gave these fictional “persons” rights of real persons and later rights that go far beyond what real persons enjoy. And over the years they narrowed the notion “person” to exclude creatures who don’t happen to have citizenship. But there are the kinds of radical violations of the clear wording of the Constitution that we are supposed to condemn as illegitimate “judicial activism” – that is, when such interpretive license is employed for the benefit of poor and working people.

The most common argument is that this Amendment only applied to African Americans at the time. So what about those Chinese immigrants?

That’s who those who formulated it had in mind, but as I mentioned, the courts very quickly changed it. In fact, very few African-Americans benefited from it. It was applied almost entirely to corporations – and narrowed in violation of the text to exclude unwanted persons.

Chinese immigrants came mostly as semi-slaves, to build the railroads and so on. The first major anti-immigrant legislation barred Asians, mainly Chinese.

All that said, what argument do anti-14th Amendment conservatives want to make now?
