My wife won't sign the divorce papers. What can I do now?
I delivered divorce papers to my wife over tow weeks a ago. We were only married a year and a half, and have no significant shared assets, but she still has not delivered the signed papers back. I am buying a house in 30 days using money from stocks I bought WAY before we met, and a divorce in FL is finalized 20 days after filing. The window is tightening. I need this done. What can I do?
8 AnswersMarriage & Divorce1 decade ago401k in a Divorce of a brief marriage.?
My wife and I are divorcing after only one and a half years. We are filing an uncontested divorce. During that time, I contributed my 401k, and she did not. I know if our marriage was longer, I'd have to give her half, but only a year and a half? And it's like a reward for her being irresponsible and not saving. Do I have to give her half my 401k contributions and earnings during our marriage?
1 AnswerMarriage & Divorce1 decade agoHelp!!!! Need to learn SQL Server asap.?
I'm in a bind. I've built numerous solutions in work utilizing Access. The problem is Access is not all that scalable, so if I need the application to to be usable by more then 10 to 15 users at a time, I'm out of luck. The best answer I can think of is SQL, and then build an interface. The thing is, I've never had to dig too much into the SQL or VB scripts behind my databases thanks to Access's visual interface. I want to learn SQL so I may maintain and upgrade existing applications within SQL as well as develop all future applications in SQL to avoid this problem in the future. Does anyone know of reasonably fast training programs for SQL for minimal cost? Keep in mind I am already familiar with the relational database concept.
1 AnswerProgramming & Design1 decade agoLooking for reputable representation?
Hello,
I'm seeking representation for my work. My work is contemporary fiction with target demographics of late teens to early 20's. I have completed one novel and am currently working on a second, with several other projects having some planning structure already done. Can anyone point me in the direction of an agent that is taking on new writers and works in this genre? Please note I will systematically reject any fees an agent asks of me. I am of the firm belief an agent's income should come solely form selling his/her client's work. Thank you.
2 AnswersBooks & Authors1 decade agoHow can I locate information on experimental physical therapy for cerebral palsy preformed in the 80's?
I'm at an impasse with yet another Dr. I'm hoping digging up some old info can help. I was a test subject for new methods and surgeries in treating cerebral palsy. I had some kind of surgery when I was 3, and proceeded to remain in physical and occupational therapy for the next five years. The problem is, I remember going to the hospital every day, but my memory completely blacks out from the moment I'd walk in the door, and the next thing I'd remember is writhing in pain that night. It took me a couple decades to get over a chronic phobia of doctors, but now that I can see Doctors again, I have no clue what augmentations were made to me. I've been through 12 doctors now, and not a one has been able to give me consistent quality care, sometimes making things far worse. I try and ask my mother, but she only tells me bits and pieces, redirects the conversation, or directly tells me it's better that I don't remember. Now I know the Doctors did a university tour with footage captured from behind a two-way mirror, so I'm hoping there's record of what exactly was done to me, so I can straight up show my doctor, and he can better act upon my various muscle problems, shakes, etc. If you know how I can find such information, please point me in the right direction. Thank you.
