i'm actually writing this out of desperation.

I studied electrical engineering, i majored in power systems. I had the opportunity to work at AMD for a year during my undergrad. This got me interested in software engineering however i still decided to major in power unfortunately.

Right after graduation i lost interest in power systems and started to learn computer networks. I enrolled in computer network masters program and I recently graduated from Masters in computer networks and now i am back to square one, i'm interested in software development. Although i am working as a systems/network engineer right now, i don't see myself in operations in the long run. I want to switch careers to software development.

I can code in java, python etc, if i was to rate myself i would put myself at intermediate level from programming perspective.

The problem is i want to study software engineering/development properly from scratch. since i can't afford (time wise) to take a year off and study and learn software development in an institute, i was wondering if there was a certification path i could take. for example in computer networking if i wanted to learn things myself, i could have taken CCNA, CCNP and CCIE. similarly is there anything for programming.

i have tried udemy etc but there is nothing too serious in there

My long term goal is a be in software engineering position. I want to be a software architect. Please help!

so i am configuring RIPv1 protocol between two routers.

i know that i can see ICMP messages between routers in simulation mode,

but it is possible to view the actual communication that happens between routers where they share their routing tables with another router or when they advertise a network?

I have a product(patent pending) that I am presenting to a company. It will be under an NDA however they declined to agree that "ownership of any improvements: I own all the improvements.".

So my question is; if i show them my product and they improve it. can they get a patent on it and they won't need to pay me anything? and the money i am using to patent my current product will goto waste?

There is an product that is in the market and i am improving it. The product in the market is made in three parts(top, middle and bottom). There is no way to improve the middle and bottom part but i can significantly improve the top part. If i file a patent on the improvement and licence it to a company could i get royalties? or how does improvement patent work? will the orignal inventor get money?

are there non governmental organization that are responsible for technical decisions related to internet management?

I have a product. The only thing that’s stopping me from presenting to companies is that I do not have a patent so I want to ask a question regarding NDA; If I was to present my product to companies (with NDA), can they "re-invent" my product and "copy/steal" my idea/product? What values does NDA hold and how do I present my idea to companies without them copying my idea (without having a patent). Because from what I have learned is that, first to market wins. Also getting a patent issued is a very long and tedious process as it almost never gets issued on the first run, so before I make any further investments I want to run my idea by a few companies and see what they think. If it’s something that they’ll be interested in I will get a patent.

1) Is the U.S Provisional Patent Applicaiton recongized by the Candidian Patent Office? If i was to file a PPA in U.S and present my product to some companies in Canada, would companies in canada not be able to copy my product?

2) How can i link US application into a full Canadian application? and can that be done AFTER a company copies my idea and files a patent themselves in canada?

4) Is there any way around it without filing full patent application in canada?

Like in United State, there is something called provincial patents(costs < 200$) which gives a right to the interventor to call his invention patent pending for a year so he can make deals with companies etc and then get a full patent. It is also cheaper then getting patents directly. Is there such thing in canada as well?

If i manage to make an EXACT replica(interior and exterior) would i get sued? i won't sell it or anything but it will be only for me and my own personal use. i can't afford to buy the actual car because there are only 1 or 2 made in the world but i can afford to build it myself. so the car is very rare and no one is the world drives it on street so if lamborghini find out will they sue me? i need a material that is can be compressed but will return to it's original shape but it has to be rigid so it can lift "x" amount of weight.
