are the control settings for assasin's creed customizable for the pc via keyboard/mouse, since it's a port i don't know if the control layouts are fixed or not?

i just completed modern warfare a little while ago, and it was awesome !! i would like to get modern warfare 2, but i've heard mixed reviews .. good and embarrassing .. is it worth to get it only for the campaign, considering there are no dedicated servers?

are there any other military fps games (not the sci-fi type like crysis) on the pc that you would recommend which comes close to the call of duty series?

1. my desktop is taking up too much desk space. is a notebook, in regard to its power b/c i run design softwares like AutoCAD, Sketchup Pro, and maybe --> 3ds max <-- some day, more convenient than a full-bulky desktop?

2. how long in life expectancy will a good notebook .. no Apple .. will last?

3. can memory be upgraded easily or should i just buy a custom notebook?

memory and video card are only important to me b/c i'm an architect major, although right now i quit studies of personal reason, but will go back again soon.
