  • Here's a poem about dreaming what do you think of it?

    DREAMING

    By Kelly Reiger

    I dreamed last night and

your perfectly formed image appeared in my mind

    so like a incubus

    enticing

    and alluring.

    My body quickly responds

    to the anticipated pleasures

and I cry out in happiness.

I have known these pleasures before

though it seems like many eons since

last you whispered sweet love to me.

Your hot ghostly breath flows along my bare trembling

flesh followed by ethereal like fingers searching.

Your otherworldly eyes sparkle with the knowledge

of what you are doing to me.

My body surrenders willingly to your touch

for it brings to me sweet peace instead of the heart-

breaking lonely night that should have been.

    Hours later when I awaken

    my body achingly sated

    my mind raw

weeping with the reality that you weren’t with me

that all we had last night was a dream.

I’ve come to realize that my days will be long and lonely without

    you my love

    But my nights

    The nights shall bring love.

Yes, my love I did dream of you last night

and hopefully, I will again soon.

  • Poem will you read and tell me what you like or don't like about it.?

    PAST AND PRESENT

    By Kelly Reiger

    As I stood beside you

watching the scenes of Earths history

    flash before us

it occurred to me that I recognized

    more than one scene.

That for some reason I believed

I had been in those places before.

That those scenes were just as familiar

to me as my home in Iowa.

It was then that the awareness came to me

that I had been in those times

    and that you my friend

    had been there with me.

So I began to wonder about those depictions

what type of lives had we lived…

were we happy in those times…?

    Had we lived exciting lives,

    fought battles,

    lost loves.

I could only wonder as more of the scenes

    flashed before us.

Then I looked at you my friend

    saw your smile

and knew that my thoughts had been yours

    as well.

Yes, it would be a fascinating experiment

    to meet ones self

    in a past time.

To see the many ways our lives have played out.

    Yes, I agreed.

    to see how we lived,

    loved,

    and died

    together

    even in the past.

    THE INNER YOU

    By Kelly Reiger

Today, unexpectedly I found myself watching you

as you sat quietly in a darkened room

gazing out at the stars you so love.

    You were alone

    a rarity

for you are usually a person who seeks others.

    Yet today I see

    you wish to be alone.

    I feel loneliness emanating strongly

    from your being

    it is tangible

like a ache from deep within.

I wish to spare you this pain

but I fear that the simple touch of my hand,

    a gentle word,

any gesture of kindness from me

    might break you

and send you spiraling towards madness.

    So I stand here

    watching you

    as you sit there

    agonizing over whatever it is

    that has hurt you so.

I wonder at where your strength comes from.

How you handle all the things that you do.

    Then a epiphany comes

    and I realize

that your strength does not come from

    swords, money.

    Nor even words

    but from a inner power.

    A inexhaustible power

that you are able to draw upon

    whenever you need to.

And it is this that I realize

    is truly your best defense.

    And I…

    I just stand there

    humbled

    by all that you are.

    Knowing

    that you will survive this

    with or without me.

For that is who you are…

    what you do.

I could reach out to you

give what support that I could

but would you truly thank me for it?

    I doubt it

    for pain must be experienced.

That is the way of life.

    And it is your way.

    A LOSS

    By Kelly Reiger

Today, Unexpectedly I found myself watching you

    money, or even words

    but from a inner power.

A power that you draw from whenever

    you need to.

    I have come to realize

    that you merely are you…

and that in itself is its best defense.

    And I…

    stand here humbled

    by all that you are.

    Knowing that you will

without my aid or with it

come through this pain that you feel.

For that is who you are

    and what you do.

I could reach out to you

and try and make this pain go away

but would you thank me for it?

    I doubt it

    for you must bare

    this pain alone.

    Losing a loved one

    is painful.

    And Spock

    he was your life.

  • I have a question about social security and disability benefits?

My mom is 63 y/o to young yet for social security. However, recently she was diagnosed with COPD and CHF and came home from the hospital on home 0xygen and neb treatments. She also has a w/c now to go places in. Would she qualify for social security disability now? Or does she have to wait for the two years til she reaches 65 y/o?

Thanks for any help and suggestions

  • Here's another poem COME BE WITH ME. Is this any better than the last one I put in here.?

    COME BE WITH ME

In the years that we have know each other

never before have I asked anything of you.

However, I feel that now is the time. I have watched

you and see your pain. I think that I can help.

So I ask this of you:

    Come walk with me.

    Side by side

    along unexplored seashores.

    Come share with me

    memories of a lonely childhood,

of lost loves, of choices made

    and then regretted.

    Let us sit

    arm in arm

    watching as the moon

dances enchantingly along the moonlit sky.

    let us touch

    this one time

    our cascading emotions

    igniting passions

    kept silent by duty.

    Let me show you

    that I…

    and only I

can show you what love is.

Others have tried you cry out

your voice weeping in its loneliness.

What can you offer that they could not?

Love I whisper gently cradling your broken heart

    within my hands.

    It is

    that my heart knows you…

    My Soul

    accepts you…

    My arms

    want you.

    And I…

    I need you.

  • Here's another poem... not one of my best I think however I would like to hear what you think?

    COME

Come walk with me on silver lined clouds.

Come with me to see the golden seashores

of alien worlds never before walked.

Come sit beside me during a moments respite

to watch the stars that we both so love.

    To talk about our past,

    share memories of childhood,

    of lost loves, of pain.

    To talk about our present.

    Our history together.

    Our growing affection.

    To talk about our future.

All the hopes, feelings, and fears

    that come with a relationship.

    Let me touch you…

    show you…

what it is to truly love someone.

  • Here's a poem I just wrote what do you think?

    HAVE FAITH

    Rain

    turn to ice

    slippery

    unexpected a fall.

    Broken hip.

    Oh the pain!

    Unable to work

    no money coming in

    bills left unpaid.

    Oh what will I do

    lights turned off

    no food to eat.

no way to get to the doctor

    Friends who stop by

    see my dilemma

    oh what will I do.

    My pastor stops by

    holds my hands in prayer

    Oh what will I do?

    He sees my dilemma

    hands me a card

    I open it

    within it I read

Give a helping hand to a friend in need.

And in side the card lay money

    lots of it.

    I look up questioning

He smiles and touches my hand gently

    tears fall from my eyes.

    Oh lord

All I truly needed to do was trust in you.
