It doesn't really matter what the first name is, really. I'm just interested in what you think of Milly :) I wouldn't want it as a stand alone. My preference is definitely as a nickname.

BQ - If your Grandma was called Kathleen "Kay", would you feel like you had to use one of those names to honour her (as a middle name)? Or do you feel like Katherine (as a first name) would count?

From the Germanic element sachs "Saxon". The Saxons were a Germanic tribe, their name ultimately deriving from the Germanic word sahs meaning "knife". (behindthename.com).

I considered the name when I got my cat, but now I'm thinking that I actually might really like the name. So, I'm wondering what you guys make of it :)
