I cant really find anything that matches the topic of custom laptop coolong.

I have a high preformance laptop (at least when it was new...) It runs really hot now dispite blowing out the dust every week.

Any website about modding a laptop would be great

I just bought a lot of comupter parts. And I went with the h100 for my cooling. But while installing the system one of the heatsinks on the mother board are in the way. So is it safe to run it with only one fan?

I woud assume so. For the fact that many heat sinks just use one fan.

I am planning on building my own pc as soon as Ivy Bridge comes out. I bought my current laptop a year ago with windows 7. I was wondering if there was a way to "copy" my laptop's windows7 operating system (not just media files) over to a new drive for my new computer?

Is it possible?

Is it legal/approved by Microsort?

I would love to buy a 60bg (around that size) strictly for booting windows off of. But I want my hdd to be the "desktop" drive - holding all of my photos, videos, etc. Its where I do all of my work.

From my research that I have done past few hours, in order to do something like what I am asking, it requires some registry editing. Although I am confident that I could make the changes in the registry (not my first time). I was wondering if there was a similar way to do this?

Example: Boot drive is C:

I would like to change the C: users

To a different drive like drive D: (which would be a regular HDD)

Is there a simple way to do this? I haven't found one yet.

I know that water absorbs more energy than air. But I have heard from multiple friends that say that's not exactly the case when building a new pc. They say that regular air coolers such as the COOLER MASTER X6 Elite actually remove the heat faster because it spreads the energy out faster. But they admit that if I OC water cooling (corsair h100) is the way to go.

I live in a small apartment (more like a room) and my laptop runs very hot about 55c idle (despite cleaning it out once a month). So which will actually do a better job cooling off the processor faster?

The less heat buildup the better.

Im planning on building a pc soon. I know that ssd's are a lot faster than regular hard drives. But I don't understand how they "work" together on the same computer..

I understand that the Windows goes on the ssd along with any programs and perhaps some games (depending on the size). While photos, videos, etc go on the regular hard drive. But I am a little confused as to how it would work on my future build. Right now I use my desktop for EVERYTHING. I have all my regular files (photos, videos, etc) on my desktop. Would the ssd change this?

Would I have to change how I use a computer if I went to a combo of ssd and hdd?

Will Intel have a price drop on the 6 core sandy bridge processor once the ivy bridge line comes out?

I just found out today that they won't be releasing a 6 core ivy bridge processor at launch. Stupid me, I have waited the past few months for ivy bridge to come out, and they aren't even making a 6 core processor (That's all I want, at least 6 cores)

So, will intel drop the price on a 6 core sandy bridge despite not making an ivy bridge equivalent at launch?

I currently own a sony dsc hx1, which is great... but im looking to upgrade, as it is a few years old now.

I take a lot of action shots (although my current camera isn't very good for this) of my friends parkouring and I take try to take pictures of Indycars going by at over 220mph.

I also tend to take nice macro shots with my camera (2.8f).

Iv been trying to research. But I am completely overwhelmed by the information out there. Like I said, I want to be able to take high speed shots and macro shots with this camera (the one you suggest) all for under $1000.

How do I delete my account? I have 2 accounts. One works fine, and it has all my friends. But I want to delete the other (because it only have 5 people) But facebook is telling me, that inorder to log onto that account, i HAVE to give them my phone number. Which is something I dont want to do.

Any suggestions?

For the past two weeks I have had a weird problem while trying to "go"

About two weeks ago I started to have MAJOR gas. It felt like I really had to go. I would sit on the pot and nothing but gas would come out. Unable to actually relieve myself (of poop).

The next day I was able to produce some stools, but these were very small in size compared to my norm (not nut shaped or anything that small. Just smaller than my norm). And I was continually in the bathroom because I felt like I had to keep going (gas, small stools, and constipation). This happened for a few days in a row.

A few days passed with the same problem(s) listed above. Then a new change started to happen. I started to produce"slime". Sometimes I would get a diarrhea feeling, go to the bathroom and gas and slime would come out. Also, continuing my smaller than normal stools. **This slime/mucus varies in color from clear to tan to yellow.

Again, this has been happening for the past 2 weeks. No pain, no blood, no feeling sick. Nothing.

My diet has not changed; in fact nothing at all has changed in my life other than starting school.

I was searching for my problems on the internet. And no viruses (that I found) and or diseases match up with my symptoms (apart from slime, but that could be anything).

Something similar happened to me 10 years ago when I was a kid, but that only lasted for a day.

What could it be? Has this happened to you? Any advice

I am a fairly healthy 20 year old, 6'4, athletic and strong.

I can run the mile in a bit under 6min. I love riding my bike and swimming.

Even though I am healthier than most people, I still have two problems that I DO NOT LIKE.

1. I have a bit of a gut. It is fat (because its squishy/soft)

2. Man boobs (small ones but man boobs non the less) (since the 4th grade)

I have no idea what to do. I excursive a good amount. I do crunches and other thing that work out both problem areas. But nothing works. Im almost 21, and having both of those is embarrassing. But it seems like I cant get rid of either. Any suggestions?

Is there anyway that I can view files from a computer in my house from my main computer?

I assume that it has to be done online (both computers share a router(ethernet)).

Is there any program that will allow me to do this? Just between my two computers (oh, and it cant disrupt either computer, as people are constantly using both)

OK so i need alaptop for college, and im looking at two different computers.

One has an i7 processor thats clocked at 1.60GHz with Turbo Boost up to 2.80GHz

And the other is an i5 2.40GHz with Turbo Boost up to 2.93GHz

Now i know the i7 is better if im doing lots of tasks at once (more cores) but say im doing a single application, is the i5 faster because it is clocked faster?

SO i need a modem and a router (combined into one box, if possible) that has ports at the back for Ethernet (for things already using a wired connection) and wifi for future purchases (laptops)

Is there such a product out there? An all in one package?

So me and my cousin are going to college at the same time next year, and we are both getting a laptop. So as any teenage boys, we want the better product/item.

I dont know why, but i have this "empty feeling" lately. I really dont enjoy things that i normally do (driving, biking, running video games etc.). Iv also been feeling "unmotivated" if that helps.... so whats wrong with me, and or how can i fix this?

when i checked the option to run it as the admin it changed the look of firefox, and now vista asks me if i want to run the program EVERY time! now i cant even see the properties.....i have no idea how to even get to them since rightclick no longer has firefox properties.... help?

My computer for the past 2-3 weeks has been running weirdly.... Il try to explain everything.

So lately the core2duo has been hot and hard lately. I have those gadgets that show how much of the processor that im using.... Anyway its been running very high lately. Like +90% usage now...

Its weird because I have not downloaded anything, i haven't changed any setting, etc. All i do is run my firefox on it... that is it.

Any reasons why the core are now just being run so much? Nothing has changed...normally they stay under 30%.

I asked this girl out on 2 dates before she was actually my girlfreind, so iv been with her for about 5 weeks. (2 and 1/2 weeks we have officially been together)
