  • Why is my blood glucose so off?

Fasting is near normal at mid 80's within an hour of taking my synthroid it plumets (sometimes it happens within 10-20 minutes) to low-mid 50's (this morning it was 53.

This happens after I eat (doesn't matter if I eat nuts, protein, or carbs)

In the evening it shoots up to 160-180 and I get very thirsty.

I just quit my endo because he won't listen to me, and have an appointment with the only other one in my area in two months.....arrrgghh.

I am so weak and mean when it happens, I slept for 6 hours today and feel awful even though my BG is and has been at mid 80's for several hours now.

Is this diabetes? I am 5'11" and have weighed between 135-155 my whole life. I eat six small meals a day avoid simple carbs, and generally feel like hell with postural hypotension, (doc even recorded it)

    Anyone?

  • how to help my pound pup, who witnessed violence?

He was taken to the local shelter by a detective when his owner was killed in a home invasion. We adopted him. He is fine as long as we walk up to visitors, but when they walk up to us, he freaks. He is six months, rottie shepherd mix. He is also fine if someone walks up to him, as long as we are not near. He has only done this with men.

Calming signals are not working, neither are typical corrections. I know we need to socialize him (we have had him a week) and build his confidence (he is otherwise a dominant bold dog). He has been neutered (last week). And is very playful and active, and is accepting us as leaders with very little challenge to us.

Just want some good advice, so we dont get off on the wrong foot. Thanks.

  • I found a snake can anyone ID it?

Black back with yellow criss cross pattern yellow blotches on sides, bright yellow belly with black blotches. Small head stocky body, not aggressive, in fact it was docile. I got it out from my duck pen, and set it down in the woods.

I can't find anything close to this snake can anyone tell me what it is?
