  • Carmelo Anthony staying with New York an extra year?

Is it crazy that I think Carmelo will not only stay on the Knicks for 2017-2018 season, but also the 2018-2019 season unless Carmelo changes his mindset?

Carmelo loves playing in the big market that is New York and the Knicks. He's unhappy now, but he still loves New York. Carmelo is showing us he is only willing to be traded for a championship contender, preferably Houston or Cleveland.

No contender is willing to give up anything good for Melo, so unless the Knicks are willing to give Melo up for overpriced garbage from a championship contender, he's gonna be on the Knicks for all of the 2017-2018 season and they are gonna hope he leaves during the summer.

During Summer '18, I don't see him turning down a guaranteed $28 million because what team in the NBA would even want him for $20 million? What contending team would even give him $15 mil?

I say he takes the guaranteed money, and then takes a massive pay cut in Summer '19 and joins Lebron.

    What do you guys think?

  • Why would the Mavericks help out Golden State?

For the Kevin Durant signing to even happen, the Warriors needed to get rid of Bogut and his contract. Then the Mavericks decided that they would be the team to get Bogut for cheap. I don't understand why a team like the Mavericks who are not rebuilding, but hoping they can win a championship would do this. Even if it was a long shot for the Mavs to win, adding Bogut decreases their win a championship. It's subtraction by addition (even though that does not make complete sense). I know that Bogut is a potentially useful player for the Mavs, but in the end it just hurts their chance to win a championship. Can someone please explain to me why the Mavs would do this?, because I can not comprehend why they would do this.

  • Are there any 3 and D centers in the NBA today?

Can't think of any. When I mean center, I mean a center that is at least 6' 11". If there are none in the NBA, can you name some centers that were 3 and D in the past?

  • Last of the 90's breed?

Who do you think will be the last player in the NBA who was drafted in the 90's?

Here are the list of players who are still in the NBA, or could still play next year.

    1995: Garnett

1996: Kobe, Allen, Jermaine O' Neal

    1997: Duncan, Stephen Jackson

1998: Pierce, Nowitzki, Carter, Nazr Mohammed

1999: Ginóbili, Terry, Andre Miller, Brand,

There might be others, (Odom possibly?) but I don't remember. My money is on Dirk, but I want to see your guys' thoughts.

  • Jeremy Lin all-star?

Now we all know that Jeremy Lin is not all-star level, but can you see it happening this season or the near future? China loves Jeremy Lin, and they also love Kobe Bryant. If you put Jeremy Lin on the same team as Kobe, I think that would make the Lakers, China's favorite team to me at least. Is it possible that Lin could receive an even bigger boost in popularity in China because he is on the Lakers and possibly make the all star team? Lin had the 4th most votes for guards in the West last season so it is not that far fetched. I'm assuming this upcoming season Kobe is an automatic again and lead guards as he usually does (meaning he won't have to tell people to stop voting for him), so basically Lin would have to pass Steph Curry. Curry had 400,000 more votes than him last season, which is pretty far away but doable.

  • Wiggins for Embiid?

Should the Cavs trade Wiggins for Embiid straight up? Unless Lebron is pushed to Pf, Wiggins is probably going to come of the bench, or will force Waiters to sit. Which I'm guessing Waiters will not like and will move to another team when he has the chance. Cavs weakest position is Center, and Varejao has a history of injury problems.

  • With or without soul?

Would you rather be under a GM that has no soul and will do the necessary move to help the franchise but you are seen as only a number and not really a person? Or would you rather be in a franchise that is much more connected to the players, but has a hard time doing the best move because of how attached the GM is with the players?

  • 2k15 player ratings?

Which players overall ratings would you like to drop a lot that you feel is overrated? By a lot I mean at least 5 points down from 2k14. Please don't say players like Kobe, Rose, Rondo who were either out because of an injury or did not get a chance to fully recover this year so they were not at their best. Please explain why, and also no one can say Ginobili because I have a feeling almost everyone will say him.

For the people who might say that ratings don't exactly matter, that is kind of true but those overall ratings are displaying that this person is better overall than another person. Mike Conley is a more well rounded player than Steph Curry, but most people would not agree that he is better than Steph.

  • Why do people start overreacting after a mini-slump?

I am not talking only about the Pacers. I am talking about the Heat, Spurs, Thunder, and other good teams that has a chance to win the championships. Every single time a great team goes in a mini-slump every body acts like they have 0 chance of winning it all, but once they start winning again they pretend like they never doubted how good they were. I'm just wondering why people never learn that a few regular season games are not going to define a team's entire season.

  • Why has Al Jefferson never made the all-star game?

Every single year he averages 20 and 10, and is the most offensively skilled low post scorer in the NBA. Yet every single year he is never included in the all-star game. In my opinion he is a top 5 Center, but he doesn't get recognized for it. I was thinking that maybe it is because he has never led a team to the playoffs, but before the all-star break he was leading the bobcats to a playoffs spot. Then for some reason they picked Joe Johnson to make the all-star game (which had me dumbfounded), and he becomes snubbed again.

    1. Why has he never made it?

    2. Why did he not make it this year?

I don't really even like Jefferson that much, I am just kinda confused why he hasn't made it yet.

  • What do you think of my selection for the NBA all-star game?

Last year I actually guessed everyone in the west right but got 2 East players wrong.

West locks: Durant, Kobe (# of votes), Curry, Love, Aldridge, CP3, Griffin and Howard.

After these guys it goes like this: Harden (not a lock because of the injuries he has had so far), Duncan, Parker, and I want to say Lillard but I actually give it to Batum because the West has no one who can play backup Small Forward except for maybe Kobe if he even plays. If Kobe or CP3 is not able to play. Lillard deserves to be in there, and I would say throw Dirk in there.

I don't think this is fair for west players because I think I could make a good case that the only players in the east who would actually deserve and be able to make it to a team on the west would be George, Lebron, and Melo. Maybe Wade also.

East Locks: Irving, Wade, George, Lebron, Melo, Wall, and Bosh.

I think Hibbert, Noah, and Jefferson all make it because of their size, and that all their teams are in the playoffs.

Derozan for leading his team to 4th without Gay. My last pick is Teague though he is fading a bit because the Hawks are losing more and Lance Stephenson is making a good case.
