I have a 84 chevy 3/4 ton 4x4, with a gen1 350ci sbc engine. My thermostat went out while i was mudding, I was miles away from civilization, so i decided to try to limp it home. I know it was a bad idea, but there was no other way to get my truck out of the mud holes except to drive it out. Since my radiator fluid was not circulating around my block it was overheating. I started smelling burning oil, so i knew i had blown my head gasket some, but it was still driving. Then it burned up all the oil and my engine locked up. I have replaced the head gasket, thermostat, new oil and oil pump, and my engine still wont start. It will almost turn over then backfire and wont start. Any ideas on what the problem is, maybe burnt valves?

I am looking to start a new project truck, basically i want it lifted as tall as i can get it, with the biggest tires i can fit on it. I have been looking mainly at any model Ford bronco's but the 1979 is my favorite. Or a 1980's k5 blazer. Or a 90's f150. Or any other older 4x4 that you like that can take a extreme lift like i want.

If anyone knows where to get suspension lift kits of 10" or more for any of these, as well as 4" or more body lifts please let me know. Any websites or info is greatly appreciated.

My 17 year old girlfriend ashley is pregnant with my baby, we found out about a week ago that she is a little over a month into it, after she heard the news, she started breaking down into tears and began saying things such as: "we need to fix the problem before my parents find out" However, I actually want the baby, i have told her that, and she says she cant handle being a teen mom, I said i would help her any way possible spend ever cent i can on her and the baby, but she keeps just giving me the same excuse about her parents finding out and disowning her...I dont believe that will happen, but I already know her dad hates me so im sure hed probably become very upset at her. Also I am starting to become very worried about her, she seems depressed and when she was 14-15 she used to cut herself, I got her to stop that, but i think she might have started again, she always wears long sleeve shirts around me and iv noticed blood on the carpet, I try to stay around her as much as i can to watch her, but i work 8 hours a day so there is alot of time for her to do things while im not there, its absolutly killing me inside every day. I just Need some advice on what to do, or what to tell her to change her mind about having this child because I believe the right thing to do is to bring this child into the world and take care of it with a loving heart, not kill it before it even comes out.

I am moving out on my own finally, and i am going to need to feed myself...go fig. Anyways, I was wondering what would be some good relatively cheap foods to prepare. I am mainly looking for things to cook not just prepackaged dinners or anything like that. Any ideas or recipes would be greatly appreciated.

My 2002 ford explorer sport is having problems. My battery light came on, and i noticed my charge gague was saying my battery is very low. I was driving to the battery place since i just bought the battery a week or so ago, and my truck died. I managed to get it into a gas station where i got a jump from another person. My truck started right up and my battery level was normal, and it appeared my alternator was charging the battery, it stayed that way for a couple days. I had my alternator and battery tested and they both turned out normal. Now all of a sudden, my light is back on and im guessing my alternator isnt charging the battery again, but i am not certain. Please help!
