Has phone texting essentially destroyed the ability of an entire generation to write a sentence (let alone a paragraph) in even remotely correct grammatical form? I have even started on how it is affecting interpersonal skills, but let's start here.

What percentage of questions on this site (in your opinion) are asked by people who are just too lazy or uninformed to Google the answer?

Our company had a lot of snow and had network problems yesterday. It was decided that the company would remain closed (like a snow day). Some employees showed up to work and others did not (some phone calls were made). So now that we are back to work, the boss wants us to makeup 5 hours of the time we missed by working early or late the remaining three days of the week. If the employees in questions are exempt, is this legal? If they are non-exempt is it legal as well? I would love to see links if possible so I can see the legal language if possible.
