  • Custody 4 yr old?

I have been a stay at home mom for almost 4 years now. My husband is wanting a divorce. I fully understand I need to get a job asap, but my husband is giving 30 days notice on our rental any day now.

I need to find an appartment for me and my daughter (when I have her), but all places need an income of about 3x the monthly rent.

The only family I have in in California (I am in Oregon), so I would love to stay with them, but I know that if my husband doesn't agree, I wouldn't be able to legally (since it is in another state).

I'm worried about what a judge may decide if I can't find a place to live for me and my daughter.

Is there a chance of relocation?

I will do everything I can to get a job asap to find a place for us, but I just don't know how fast I can make that happen...

    What are my options?

Has anyone been through a situation like this?

What should I expect If this goes to court?

  • Stay at home mom/military spouse wanting to move back home with daughter.?

He is active duty Air Force. He is wanting a divorce. I have been a stay at home mom for almost 4 years (we have been married for 5 1/2 years). I Have no income at this time although I plan on finding a part time job and go back to school. I have no one in the area for a support system. My entire family is in California. I am hoping to be able to move with my daughter back home so that I can live with family in order to complete school, save money, and have free childcare from my family while I have a part time job. There is no way for me to make ends meet on my own if I stay in Oregon. How likely will it be that I am able to love back home to California?

I have no intention of keeping my daughter away from her father. I am fully willing to work on a parenting plan with him. We are still within driving distance (9hrs).

He also only has 2.5 years left where we are stationed. Then he will either not reinlist or will end up being stationed elsewhere.
