how do i fill out a da 4187 for name change without a difinitive reason?
i looked at some of the other answers people put for other people asking the same question, but i still can't figure it out. all of the examples have a definitive reason for the name change such as marriage, divorce, or misspellings. i'm not getting married, i'm not getting divorced, and i want a complete name change, not just a change of spelling. the only reason i can think of is because i don't like my current name. is this ok to put or should i just not put a reason? does anyone have an example for this kind of situation? please help me?!

i am in the military and want to change my name. i have no definitive reason other than that i don't like my current name... i know in the civilian world this would be enough of a reason for a name change, but i'd like to know if it would be enough reason in the military world. i have no legal history that i'm running from, and i am unmaried so i'm still living on my own name. i have no debts, fees or credit problems that i'm currently working on, and i have never had any credit problems that would be on my record. can anyone help me answer this before i go and look like an idiot in front of the s-2?
