I'm thinking of a children's book I read when I was kid, (I'm 26) it could have been from UK, or American. The characters were really gross looking and had bad manners, it could have been a manners book. I kind of remember one of them looking like Slash but with a big nose poking out of his dark hair (you couldn't see his face) Anyone have any ideas?

I live in So Cal and made $25,686 last year. I chose not to answer questions about my assets on the FAFSA because I don't have any. My EFC is $6,156. There is no way I can afford to pay that. I wasn't eligible to receive a Pell Grant and am really worried that I'm not going to get any aid. Is there any kind of appeal process I can do? or any other little known federal aid programs?

I got my old medical records from a doctor that I stopped going to. He wrote:

Rule out metabolic syndrome

Thyroid dysfunction

Rule out polycystic ovarian syndrome

What does that mean when he writes "rule out"? Has he already ruled it out or did he think that's what I had?

I was diagnosed with PCOS when I was about 17. I was really bad at taking any medication and I didn't really understand the diagnosis...I stopped taking metformin after a couple of weeks and never went back to see the doctor that diagnosed me. Now, I'm 25 and have talked to my GP a couple of times, complaining about hair on my face, boils in my groin area, irregular periods (even though I am on birth control) and trouble losing weight. My GP told me I am just a hairy person (?!?) and that the birth control should help with the slow down production of my oil glands and calm down the boils in my groin. After talking to a couple of my friends that have been diagnosed with PCOS, I am beginning to think I still have it. I have an appointment with a PA who specializes in endocrinology, after my discouraging appointment with my GP, how do I communicate to the PA that I think I have PCOS with-out self-diagnosing?
