  • Birth control causing overgrowth of yeast and ways to control it?

Every time I get a pelvic exam at my annual physical, my doctor always says it looks like I have a yeast infection due to excess and "yeasty" discharge near my cervix. She always asks me if I itch or have irritation and the answer is always no. I asked her what would cause me to have no symptoms of a yeast infection besides the discharge and she told me my birth control could be throwing off my sugar levels, thus causing the yeast to thrive and overgrow. So I had a couple questions.

What can I do to lower the yeast levels and discharge?

Could this high number of yeast cause my vagina to taste kind of sour or tangy(I've been experiencing this and I thought it was strange)?

The type of underwear I wear is mostly lacy thongs with a cotton crotch. The pants I wear are not skintight. I use Summer's Eve PH Balance wash and then the same brand wipes if I'm on my period(this isn't causing the overgrowth problem, I started using this because I was experiencing chronic yeast infections with the actual symptoms and it has helped that calm down quite a bit). I don't sweat excessively and I wash down there everyday. So is this an issue I'll just have to deal with until I'm off birth control or is it something that can be fixed? Again, it's not an AWFUL problem. I don't ever itch, burn, or have a bad odor down there.. so I can deal with it but I would like to get rid of that weird tangy taste. Any help would be appreciated! Thank you!

  • Professional piercers or very well educated only: My belly piercing still doesn't seem to be healed after 3 years?

I got my belly pierced(yes, by a trusted professional that I go to for all my piercings) when I was 17 and now I'm almost 20. Out of all my piercings this, by far, has been the worst one in terms of healing. I still get crusties, the top and bottom hole(but not the surrounding area) is like pink and reddish, and sometimes it will sting. I think it has always been this way. I don't know what to do. I definitely don't want to take it out! Any advice?

  • Phlegm whenever I have something sugary?

Whenever I eat something sugary or that has sugar in it(fruit, candy, soda, milk, ect.) I get this HORRIBLE phlegm in the back of my throat. It's so irritating. Is this normal? If not, what could it be?!

  • Popular songs about crushes?

Okay. So please don't judge me on this one. I'm crushing on a guy really hard and I kind of have a feeling he likes me too, so right now I'm just writing stupid little indirect statuses on Facebook to drop hints. I feel like we're both too scared to say anything. I would really like to build a close friendship with him first before we date(IF we do) so we can be super close. Everyone wants their boyfriend/girlfriend to also be their best friend right? I'm almost 20 and he is almost 22. But my point is I want some modern, popular song lyrics about a crush. Or maybe some advice? Please and thank you! :)

  • Itchy bump that comes and goes?

For months now I've had a reappearing bump on my neck. Every time it shows up it's bigger. It really itches when it comes up, but when it goes down, you can't even see it and I can't feel it there at all.

  • Belly button piercing vs. ear piercing? ?

I'm 17 and I've had my ears pierced twice. They got infected so badly that I had to remove the studs both times. I cleaned them regularly and thoroughly like I was supposed to. I used a different type of metal each time. My mom said that I must just be allergic and just can't have my ears pierced. So I've accepted that.

Should I get my belly button pierced if this has happened? Are there any super hypoallergenic metals I can use? If so, should I get my ears pierced again? Also, can you work through the infection until it heals or is it best to just take the studs out and let the holes close?

    Sorry for so many questions.

  • Threw up for no reason...?

This morning I woke up feeling nauseous. After about an hour of laying in bed and fighting it, I finally just went to the bathroom and got sick. Since then I drank sprite and ate some crackers. My stomach still feels weird, but I don't feel nauseous.

This also happened about two weeks ago. Just throwing up for no reason.

My lower left and right side hurt a little and pain feels like it's shooting to my back.

I also just had my period. So no, I am not pregnant. However, I started on Thursday, stopped Monday, and started again an hour ago.

It's just so weird. Someone please help?

  • How to lose 15/20 pounds in a couple months?

I'm 16, 5'0" and 125 pounds last time I checked. I don't even want to get on the scale anymore. I want to cry every time I step on the darn thing.

I know, it seems like a lot to lose for such a small girl. But I weighed 110 less than eight months ago.

Most of the weight I want to lose is in my lower belly and thighs. I would like to know some exercises for these areas. I have a treadmill and a big workout ball. What would be the best foods to eat to lose weight this fast?

I'm also going to be taking Adapexin-P weight loss pills for extra help, but I would prefer not to.

    Any tips?

  • Frostwire download? Sticker? HELP?

I downloaded Frostwire the first time and it said I needed Java, since this is a brand new computer, so I downloaded Java. Then I double-clicked Frostwire from my desktop to open it. It said something like I had to re-download or something like that. So I just deleted it and re-downloaded it. This time I have Java set up on my computer. When Frostwire was finished downloading for the SECOND time a STUPID STICKER popped up right in the middle of my desktop and wouldn't go away. I searched online for how to get rid of it and it said to restart your computer. And when it gave me the warning that "Frostwire was still loading" I hit cancel. The sticker was gone. But now whenever I go to open Frostwire the sticker re-appears and then goes away after about three seconds. My biggest problem is that Frostwire won't even open. Just the sticker. Someone PLEASE help me!!!
