  • How long do you think I have to wear braces??

    Hi,

I am 14 years old and in the 9th grade. I'm getting braces soon and I want to know how long you think I will have to wear them.

I used to suck my thumb when I was little, so I have an over bite. And my bottom teeth are over crowded. 2 of my bottom teeth are starting to move back. So my teeth are over lapping each other. I am really concerned about how long I must wear braces.

My family can not afford any special clear ones or anything like that. So I have to stick with the metal ones.

I don't want to wear them for so long. I really don't wanna be stuck wearing them in my last year of high school most of all.

    Thanks in advance,

  • How often should my snake defecate?

    Hi,

I just fed my California King snake on Wed., so about 4 days ago. He fairly small, not sure exactly how long. And I just got him.I fed him one picky mouse.

When should he poop?????? lol, I know weird question. But I haven't seen any, and I read somewhere that you need to wait for him to defecate before feeding again.

Also, when should I start feeding him more pinky mice or moving onto bigger mice?

    Thank you in advance,

  • Would these be okay to use??? PLEASE HELP!!!?

    Hi, me again.

I finally went to the pet store to look for a proper thermometer, but all they had were those stick on ones. I already have two of those, one on the cool side of the tank and the other on the hot side. I wanted to have a backup thermometer, to use every once and a while.

I have a California King snake, and got him as an early christmas gift because my mom couldn't afford one on her own.

I've read into different ways on controlling the temp. But most of these are American sites, and they get things for a little bit cheaper.

Plus, my local pet store doesn't have these things.

I have heard of people using these things instead. I just wanted to hear what other people have to say.

Instead of getting a thermostat, I plan on getting a dimmer switch to control the temp. on my heating pad.

I have stick on thermometers but I want another to check the temp. as well. I read about digital thermometers with probes and realised that it was kinda the same thing as a one of those meat thermometers. I also plan on getting one of these at my local hardware store.

Are these okay to use, until I can find a proper ones? I'm most likely going to order them online. But I don't want my snake to go without thermostat and a back up thermometer any longer.

    Thanks in advance,

    Kat

PS, here are the links to the ones I plan on buying. If you have any other ideas for me, please share. Thank you! :)

  • Why is my snake doing this?

    Hi,

I just got a pet snake, a few days ago. He's a California Kingsnake and my first pet snake. He keeps on climbing on the walls of his tank and then falls down.

He does this most of the time, but he will go into his hide and rest for a little.

I'm not sure why this is happening.

I have petted him, or touched him a couple of times. But have not tried to hold him yet, for the fact that he always tries to get away from me.

Can anyone tell me what is wrong???

    Thank you in advance,

  • Where to get Steel Bones for a Corset?

    Hi,

I have decided to make my own corset for Halloween. I'm dressing up in a Victorian style dress and I have a little bit of a stomach. So the dress doesn't look that great. So I decided that instead of wearing those random slimmers, that I would stay in costume and wear a corset.

Because it is so close to Halloween I can not get a real steel boned corset in time. So I have decided to make one. I have read countless different ways and I think I finally know how.

The only thing I need that I don't already have is the steel boning.

Does anyone know where I can get some in the city of Toronto?

Or an online store that you know FOR SURE wil come in time for the 29th or 30th? So I have time to add them to my corset?

    Thanks in advance,

    Kat

  • This Is My Diet Plan. Can Anyone Tell Me If It Is Alright??? Please?

I need to lose about 10 pounds in about a month. Right now, I am 5'5" and 135 pounds. I have to fit into a dress for Halloween, that I have to buy online in about a month. So I want to lose the weight, before I buy the dress.

To fit into the dress I must have 30-36 BUST, a 25-28 WAIST, 32-36 HIPS.

    But now I have a 34 BUST, a 33 WAIST, 38 HIPS.

The weight is not really a big thing, as long as I lose the inches. I will also be wearing a corset. But I would still want to lose the inches, just in case I can not.

I am a former dancer-not professional, just for my enjoyment, so I plan to add dancing into my exercises. Now I eat well over 2,000 calories. And I plan to cut off at least 500 of them.

The dance classes I am joining are for 3-4 hours a night, about 3 times a week. Would this be enough exercise?

I also plan to lose something called water weight, but I am not sure how to do that, while still eating healthy.

I once read somewhere that to lose at least once pound a week you must burn all the calories you eat, plus an extra 500 each day. Is that true?

So, I plan to dance, cut off at least 500 calories, and drink a lot of water.

Is there anything else I could do? Or any other ideas you might have for me?

    thank you,

    Kat :D

  • Will I get my natural Curly Hair back after Japanese Hair Straightening?????PLEASE HELP?

    Hello,

In Jan. I got my hair Chemically Straightened. I did this because I had VERY curly, VERY poofy, VERY unruly hair. The hairdressers said it would last for about 6 months, but I should come back for another appointment. For my hair was still wavy without straightening with a flatiron. Lucky I did not!

So, from Jan 'till June, every other day, I would wash a straighten my hair. But I had to stop this, because my hair was starting to fall out.

Now my hair is thick and slightly curly at the roots, completely Straight in the middle part of the hair and wavy at the ends.Yet it is still as poofy as it was when curly. I would very much want my old hair back.

Is there anything I can do?? Is there a chance for my hair to go back to normal?? SHould I get a trim, for my ends are terrible??

Please any advice you have would be amazing. Just don't scare the CRAP outta me, by saying it won't come back. :P

  • Step-by-Step?Homeschool Help?

    Hey,

I want to start homeschooling because of health issues. I am starting high school in Sept. but I am worried because I missed most of the 8th grade. I am now unable to finish the school year. So I would like to catch up on most I missed during the summer. But I know I will not be able to work at the same pace as the other students.

I would like to go back to high school during the last year to get the senior year experience. So, I want to homeschool for three years.

What I need to know is what steps my family and I need to take? Like how do I inform my school? How should I earn credits? and what programs do you believe would be right for me? How do I get back into public school after being home-schooled?

    Thank you in advance,

    Kat

P.S- I live in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

    Hey, Moi Again.

I was just wondering if any one knows of different ways to earn highschool credits through homeschooling.

I already know of online schooling, but I was wondering if that is the only way. I want to take some of the most important courses online, but some are rather expensive. So is there another way?

If you could please tell me a little info or personal experience, that would be amazing.

    Thank you in advance,

    Kat

Oh and P.S- if you didn't already know, I live in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Thanks :@)

  • Thinking about Starting Homeschooling? Help?

    Hello,

Well, I live in Toronto, Ontario and at the moment I am in the 8th grade. I have attendance problems because of health problems. So, my family and I are thinking about homeschooling.

My mother herself never graduated high school so she is unable to teach me, just by herself.

I have looked into online options, but most are rather expensive. And it's just my mom, my brother and I at home, so we can't afford most of them.

I need some help with finding different options for myself. I really want to start as soon as possible because I am sure I will not be passing the 8th grade. So, I want to start homeschooling and catch up on the 8th grade stuff now and through summer, so I will be able to do high school work with no problem.

So, does anyone know any program, online or not that will let me do that. And that also deals with high school, and will also help me with records so I can get into the college or university I want.

    Thanks in advance,

    Kat

  • Is it too late for me?

    Hi,

I'm turning 14 this up coming March the 1st

and I want to become a professional

ballerina. I used to dance at 8 but quit at 12,

but before I quit I was told I could go en

pointe. The thing is I don't think the dance

studio was that good. It was their first year

having pointe as an option and none of the

teachers were real professionals. And some times there weren't even in the class. They had older students come in.

But anyway, my question is if I will be able to

go pro. An if there is a chance, what can I do

to get there? And how do I catch up on the

    stuff I missed?

I hope you can answer my question. Sorry

    it's soooo long.

    Katherine

P.s I live in Toronto, Canada. So if you know

any schools in the city. That would be nice."

P.P.S- I was on the competing team for two years and had lots of solos in Tap and Jazz. So I have been on a stage a lot.
