That Guy

I'm infatuated with a girl in my class. I asked her out last Friday and she said she had a boyfriend, which I just found out was BS. I'm guessing she wasn't interested in having a serious relationship with me, which is ok. I have pretty high self esteem of myself so i don't know why she wouldn't want to go out with me, but I don't communicate my confidence so that could be a reason

but the way i see it is that she isn't interested in me RIGHT NOW, idk that is just my new outlook on life.

I won't bug her about going out again anytime soon because that would be rude, but I am confident that we will be going out at some point in the future. It's just how I see things ending up.

So I need tips, and general advice on how to move forward from this because i dont have a lot of experience with stuff like this

I started supporting Arsenal in the 11/12 season and there were good and **** times, I didn't care because they were fun to watch. But now I can't stand watching them play. Boring football and never try to shoot.

Not good or bad, just mind numbingly boring. Purgatory-inspired football. Pass pass pass. Kind of like Barcelona but without the intent of winning. I'm kind of tired of watching 5'7" attacking midfielders pass around the box. Carlos Mencia has more creativity than Arsenal's midfield.

If there was a "Footballers Got Talent" then watching Bohemian FC would be more entertaining. Arsene Wenger just waddles around each game like a 2 meter penguin. Watching Diaby recover from injury is more suspenseful than Arsenal's build up play.

Now I'm going to do this regardless, but I am interested in what other people think about it. Also I like writing jokes.

I'm only 5'8 but I have long *** legs and big quads and a body built for football. I put on muscle really easy. In fact when I was 13, I went to a football tryout and one of the coaches told me that one day I would be a great football player (he probably guessed I would have grown taller but thats besides the point).

However my adolescence ended up being a joke because all I did was sit at my computer and go on message boards (sort of what I'm doing right now) and turned into a socially anxious chubby teenager.

The social opportunities that playing sports gives you, both by staying fit and looking attractive and socializing with people i wanted to be friends with, would have literally made my high schools years awesome. Instead I rarely worked out (and sucked at sports because i was never fit) and had a lot of emotional issues that would have worked itself out if I did sports.

So now that I am getting in great shape (and its relatively easy) I feel like a ******* moron because I am confident I have the mesomorphic body type that favors athletes but never had the interest or the parents to push me to do sports.

I'm over 18 and w/o insurance

For as long as I have been alive (20 years) my Mom has owned a N.A. box turtle w/o a terrarium or anything. I have no idea how it ate because at months nobody would see it, but it's always just been hanging out in my house. I felt incredible awful that it wasn't living the life "it was meant to live", so when I came into some money, I put together a terrarium for it which is.

I just put him in there but he's trying to crawl away at each corner and it's killing me to see that he's not enjoying it. I imagine he's used to just walking around the entire house which is a lot larger than 2x3 feet but idk if I should just keep him in there until he gets used to it or let him back out into the house. IDK what to do!!!!

I just bought that Zoo Med lamp fixture that has bulb spots for both a heat bulb and a UVB bulb but it's impossible to get it to balance on my stand so I'm instead going to get a single lamp fixture with spot for only one bulb.

Saying that, I need to find a bulb that provides both UVB and basking heat for my North American box turtle. Please help!

Saving the images on a USB hard drive assures me that I will forever have that file even if the user later takes it down, but creating an imgur account and keeping track of them via bookmarks is more practical. What should I do?

When I went to high school there were a lot of ghetto kids whose parents had at least some money (which I noticed because the insane amount of shoes they owned) but also noticing they never really cared about school, what do they do with their life after community college?

I'm taking Calculus right now so I'm knee deep in a lot of theory about finding the derivative and whatnot. I've already been told some of its uses in physics (ex. the derivative of the equation of an object's acceleration is its velocity) but I'm curious of its other applications in physics, engineering, etc.

They're really expensive and I don't really need one for Calculus I

I go to a community college and there are so many hot girls here but the thing stopping me from asking a girl out is that I have no means other than public transportation to get me around places.

I could invite girls over to my place, but I live with my mom and sister in a small apartment. Am I doomed to female interaction to only parties now?

I was looking at the DIY furniture at Target because usually they are cheap (ex. I got a 5 shelf bookcase for only 35 bucks...awesome). I was also looking to buy a dresser today and I saw that they had a nice 4 drawer, black finish dresser but cost $120, and the six drawer version $150.

To me that seems really steep. What do you fellow home furniture experts think? Bed Bath & Beyond is having a clearance sale so I might have to check them out and see what they have to go over there to get a good dresser for a great price.

I'm a guy. I can't really wear nice clothing like button up shirts or some nice sweaters off the rack without it being ill-fitting in one area (Medium is a little too baggy and short is a little too tight). I feel like there's something wrong with my body if I have to go and pay extra for clothes to tailed to fit me. A lot of the slim fit clothing from stores like American Eagle, Hollister, and whatnot fit perfect, but I can't dress like a teenager forever.

This isn't much of a question, it's just I want reassurance that other guys have to do this so I don't feel like a freak or anything.

I just started doing Insanity, and while I'm finally getting in amazing shape even after 7-8 days, I'm starting to feel depressed that I never did sports in high school despite me believing I would have been an amazing athlete

I'm white and 5'7", but I have a body-type I feel would have been perfect for sports: long legs, huge quads, naturally muscular calves, and big butt. This is before I started getting into shape....in high school, I had bad eating habits and almost never exercised....when I did it was a bad workout that took 2 hours to complete that I only did once in a while

I've had people who asked me if I played football or soccer before even though I was nowhere near a athlete at that time....now there's an opportunity for me to try out for a rugby club next fall before I transfer to the university I plan on graduating from, but I'm not sure I should spend my free time on that since I am also studying computer science & learning how to program which is really interesting but time consuming

I'm not sure if I should go for this just to live out a fantasy that was never realized, or if I should spend it doing more productive things with my education

My entire life my parents were never home and I was never guided to make the right decisions for me, so instead I played video games and browsed the internet 24/7. It's something I still do on the weekends and its killing my life. I'm studying to be a computer scence major so there is some pressure for me to stick on my computer and learn to be an amazing programmer. My idea of a saturday is watching soccer (TV), playing FIFA (video games), learning something new (internet), and programming (computer).

To make matters worse, my college classes are using online textbooks and web services to do and turn in homework. Every class I have requires me to use my computer a couple hours a week and I can't take it anymore. My eyes are killing me so much on a daily basis but I can't find anything else to do with my life on the weekend.

I need a new hobby. Help!!!!!!!!!

btw I'm doing the Insanity program right now so exercise only takes up 30-60 minutes of my long days.

All the assignments are through an online web service so there is a disconnect between what he teaches in class and what we're tested on online

I am half Greek, have a Greek last name, and generally look like a Greek person but I wasn't raised to cherish my Greek heritage - my dad didn't teach me Greek and while he's religious, he never cared about going to church therefore I feel I was raised to never care about religion (I'm a strong agnostic because of this).

I feel like i have a cultural identity crisis where I feel more "American" than Greek if that makes sense. I want to learn Greek, but its one of the hardest languages to learn and not too many resources and I really don't want to be religious and involved with a church even though that's a big part of being "Greek" greek.

I feel like there are more examples of this but idk what to make of it and I feel like I have to choose between embracing my American heritage and accepting that I am not a "real" Greek or rejecting USA and move back to Greece one day.

I am constantly worrying about money, school, my career, learning tech skills (i'm trying to be a developer), my image, my clothes, transportation, money, college, how to become successful, how to have a social life, getting straight A's, and my only retreat is playing video games which is really unproductive. I can't afford weed which I thing would be the perfect solution but I can't relax ever my constant anxiety is always killing me slowly!
