Avoid the bars and clubs! I'm kinda a shy guy too, and noisey rooms don't help when you're trying to socialise. Instead find a hobby, then go to public events where others are that enjoy the same hobby. Talk to everyone, men and women.
If that's too much work, try doing a search on Yahoo for ppl with similar interests? I've met some awesome ppl here, and some I became very close with.
The idea is to find a place where you feel safe and comfortable, where you're least likely to hide, or stutter like an idiot. If you know your surroundings, you'll feel more confident talking to new ppl....Show more

try thinking "will i like her" when you see a girl. and then take a public speaking course. it will give you confidence. then as long as you shower everyday you should be able to at least talk to a girl. but what is the worst thing that can happen if you ask a girl out....Show more
