I currently use my cell phone because at least I know how much I am paying for a month. But, with 'house' phones, they want too much. I heard a Vonage commercial for $20+ a month (as well as IDT over here in Jersey). Is it worth it? Please let me know. Thanks!

I haven't used Vonage. However, VOIP phone service is good. I have had it for about 6 months now.
Vonage is over priced though. Sunrocket and Packet8 are cheaper.

I have it no problems at all, it's actually good.
The only thing which might be a problem is that ........ it may slow down your internet speed.
but again i m not positive on that one, so....other than that it's awsome
