What do you think of the maxim "Those who know better, are responsible for doing better?"?

I'm interested in as many diverse views on this as possible, but I am, in particular interested in the thoughts of young African Americans. Thanks all!

Many, many years ago, I once had a boss tell me that he expected more from his better employees than his slackers. Not fair, but I can understand the reasoning behind it and I also think kinda the same way because some people have more talent or abilities than others and more should be expected of them. Boy, I'm going to get into trouble for this!! What I liked about him was that he was honest about it.

Nowadays, it seems we have to be careful about everything we say. Where is this screwy country headed? Things like the above could be grounds for a lawsuit I suppose.

The problem with Humanity is that it takes itself too seriuosly...
As Einstein put it:"Everything is relative". Who can decide what that "better" is? U? Me? Bush?
What I think is "good" may not be "good" according to your standards & view on things... In a way, we're ALL responsible 4 "doing better"...but also, the only thing we're trully responsibles 4 is OURSELVES.
U see, that's the problem... we're always meddling in someone else's life...
