I found out some time ago that the one i considered to be my best best friend was very jealous of my successes and...well, she stopped acting like a true friend. I had a serious discussion with her and decided to break up our friendship and only remain work mates. Next week is her birthday. Shd I tell her "Happy Birthday" or just pretend I didn't remember? Advise me, please...

Trying to avoid the problem always makes it even bigger. So, just tell her happy birthday as a work-mate. It is never a myth that a work-mate cannot remember her birthday! If you avoid her birthday, she might think that you are still serious about her and trying to avoid her to make her feel bad. This might turn into a greater trouble in your life. Please just play her easy. Time will make everything OK!

It seems as if you still want to be friends, or you wouldn't be asking this question. Maybe after all this time, she has reconsidered her jealousy. If you tell her Happy Birthday, this may open the door to her apologizing, and you can be friends again. But don't expect anything much, that way you won't be too let down if it doesn't happen the way you want it to.

Her b-day is a special occasion, I think you should tell her happy birthday, maybe she will she that you were the bigger person and it might bring your friendship back together.

If you're still on decent speaking terms, tell her happy birthday. I tell co-workers happy birthday all the time. We even have office parties for them. It in no way implies that you want to start up your friendship, it's just a polite thing to do.

No matter what, she'll still be your friend and you know you want to tell her "Happy Birthday", do it but don't make a big deal about it... You might be major friends or minor friends, your still friends an you still care, nothing will ever change that.
