I once had to sit with an elderly lady who was really mean.
It was the weekend shift- two 14 hour days.
All she did was nap and eat. When she was awake she would complain. Anything nice or any attempts to connect with her were shot down with insults. She'd spill her food on purpose and spit at me sometimes.
I could read while she slept, but after a while that gets boring also and your eyes start to get sore.
She was really wealthy and lived in a nursing home, so I didn't have to change her diapers- but I was so bored that I would offer to take out the trash and do little things- just for something to do!
For $6.50 an hour, it was hell. I know some jobs are more physically demanding, but atleast the days go by quicker. 14 hours of sitting on my butt or getting crabbed at was no fun!

The worst job I ever had was working at a Swenson's ice cream restaurant. I had such a mean manager. I was never able to make any of the ice cream desserts fast enough. I was much younger then and I felt so inadequate. One day he fired me and I was so angry and hurt by this. I ended up telling him off.

OMG Olivia, I can relate! My mom grew up the daughter of a farmer. She spent plenty of days in the cotton fields in Texas. When I was growing up she didnt believe in buying it at the store when you could go pick it yerself. We spent every summer in some field of some variety of vegetable. It was usually a pea patch. We would go to this huge pea patch from sun-up to sun-down. And if that wasnt enough, when we got home we had to snap about 30 bushels of peas. I hated peas for years. I've been to the cornfields too, and the pecan orchards, and the watermelon patch!!!!! As far as recent jobs, I was a protective officer at the State Department. I friggin hated that job. We had to stand out in the elements with no shelter; rain, snow, sleet, hail, sub-zero winds, it didnt matter, for up to 12 hours. There were plenty of days I didnt get a break for 6 hours. Most of those diplomats are arrogant and rude as hell!!!!!!!!!!

De-tassling corn. It was hot, muddy, and lonely! I was 13 the corn was taller than me, and bugs. We had to walk down and back up a row of corn before we could get a drink of water. Long hot days.
