Does anyone else think Starbucks is overrated?

They don't blend their coffee right, and everyone thinks they're the greatest...except me, apparently.

Starbucks stores are pretentious and insulting to the intelligence of the human race. Their coffee is of terrible quality and over priced. When someone goes into a Starbucks, they aren't paying for the coffee, they're paying for the degradation of society.

Starbucks is the worst coffee i have ever had. Not that it necessarily tastes bad. I am a resident of New Orleans, and there are so many local coffee businesses. Starbucks ruins these businesses, taking away customers and so on. Second of all, its not real coffee. Its flavored and with lots of milk. Most people who say they like Starbucks's coffee probably doesn't like real coffee.

They are over rated; but that is what you get when you have the only brand awareness of its kind in a market place.

Think about it this way, in fast food you have McDonalds, Burger King, Taco Bell and on and on, but in Starbucks there is nothing like them at all in competition. They are terribly and fanatically brutal to independent coffee houses and have pretty much made sure none will succeed to their level.

I think people are more into the "image" than the coffee. Most of the times the smaller coffee shops are so much better.

I personally think starbucks is way too commercial. I like the quaint little places that are individually owned. Their coffee seems to taste better.
