Do you think american pop culture is stupid based on the shows they produce on the networks?
Just turn on you television set, not cable, but the local networks and look at the programing offerings. Basically the market is for white adolescent dumb asses highschool types. Shows like Orange County, Las Vegas, all the 30 minute comedy shows are not even funny or interesting, just lude and predictable noise, all the reality shows are about "good" looking people doing nonsense, trash on tv for trash on the couch, american white culture is trash.

The media does not represent reality. The shows are produced only to get mass media attention. Good looking people are always used as they get more media attention. Many TV shows have stupid scripts because people want stupid scripts and dumb sitcoms. If people want a more intelligent media they should complain about TV to those who are in charge of programming TV networks.
We haven't had any tv in our home for 7 years because it quit being anything worth watching way back then - so I'm sure it hasn't changed except to get worse. And it's not just white culture - it's every culture - let's face it - even cartoons have done nothing but teach little children how to smart off to their parents and we think it's cute - and what up with a sponge? TV is so out of touch with genunie entertainment, reality, and what America is even interested in that I'm appalled cable (or any other forms) are in business.
Ignoring Beavis and Butthead, it is totally stupid. it is frivolous and dwells on certainly no longer something of substance. pop custom of the 1960's became distinctive. It adversarial war, the subjugation of ladies folk and minorities and the tossing of the older era's ridiculous inflexible morals. in the present day's pop custom is approximately botox and implants and egocentric pastimes.
Yes. It's the downfall for America's youth. All it promotes is shallow and superficial belief systems. Bling Bling Bling and More MOre MOre not to mention SEX SEX SEX is all you get. Even our commercials have become explicit. It's ridiculous and getting to be disgusting. And no, I'm not one of those moral preaching types. I'm actually pretty open to most things. But as a parent, I find today's pop culture and media to be totally out of control, and I'm only 27!
