Ok, this is a long one. I have liked the same boy as my best friend for quite a while now. He flirts with me, and acts like someone I could totally kiss or go out with. He eskimo kissed me at a party Friday, and totally made my day. However, any time I mention his name, my best friend gets all mad. I don't know what to do. I look pretty, he makes me feel good about myself, and acts like he likes me. He doesn't know that I like him, and I'm afraid that if he did know, it would be awkward. I need help!!!!

Honey, the best thing that you can do is to go with what your heart tells you to do. Your best friend is either mad that he/she can't be with you. Ask your best friend why he/she is getting mad when mention this boys name. Find out if he/she likes you more than a best friend. All in all, you need to do what your heart tells you to, and not what me, or anyone else tells you to. Its not us thats going to get hurt if we make the wrong decision, its you. Just be friends as you are and if it's meant to be for you two to be boyfriend and girlfriend then it will happen,after all you start out being friends first,take it one day at a time.Did you ever think maybe he feels the same way about you and too scared to tell you?buy a card that say's "I like being your friend"Maybe he'll get the hint try doing little things to show him how you feel and if your friends don't like it when you mention his name,don't worry about it,just do what you want to do,not what your friends what you to do,it's your life not theirs.
Girl, your feeling him and he's obviously feeling you. So what's the question. Look, if I were you I would just tell your friend he's into you and your into him. DON'T TELL HER YOUR GOING TO ASK HIM b/c she may get jealous from the way you talk and do something to cause problems. Go tell him that you think he's a hottie or w/e and think you two should go out. Just talk to him.. he could still like you too he just doesnt kno how you feel. If he wants to stay with his gf o well whats the worst that could happen at least he would kno and maybe in the future something great could happen. If you guys are friends he'll understand. Its better to see how he feels than just keep wondering and wishing he knew.
