Help!! I want to escape London to go somewhere warm this coming Friday.. where should I go?

Greece or South of Spain (Sevilla, and such)
It's much closer to flying over the pond and coming to America, so I would stay in Europe, and go to the beaches there, plus a lot of people go to Greece during this time of the year, and the south of Spain has this amazing climate that is just perfect (warm) during the day, but a bit cool during the night, so it has aperfect combination.
Or if you have the money, the south of France is quite lovely, and all you would have to do is cross the english channel and drive for a couple of hours (ok, more like 20 hours, maybe)....Show more

At the moment, I'd head for the south of Spain. You could probably get a cheap flight to somewhere commercial, hire a car, and head further afied to get some peace and quiet.

Why there? At the moment, temperatures are *way* above normal out there - ~36 degrees C last week. Definitely your best warmth / distance trade off at the moment - and Spain's pretty chilled, lifestyle wise......Show more
