In the movie Pirates Of The Caribbean...?

the pirates on the black pearl are cursed and can't die, so isn't it possible that Bootstrap Bill is still alive? They tied him to a cannon and threw him in the water, so he could have untied himself and walked to the nearest island right? He was thrown in AFTER they were cursed....what do you think? Will he pop up in the next movie?

to the pillsbury guy, yes they did break the curse, but Bootstrap would have had plenty of time (at least about 10 years) to untie himself and walk to an island before the curse was broken so may not have drowned.

I think you're onto something...! Reading over the cast/credits for the next one (try imdb.com), there is someone listed as playing "Bootstrap Bill Turner", so he definitely lives! Can't wait to see the second one! =)

You've got a good point. Since it was 10 years I believe he had plenty of time 2 untie himself and walk 2 the nearest island. Unless, he was unable to untie himself so by the time the curse was broken he was still tied and so he died unlong with the other pirates.

It is unlikely that he is still alive. Unless he was somehow able to untie himself, which is the unlikely part, he died the second that the curse was broken at the end of the first film.

He was probably very surprised by his own drowning.

according to what i read about the Next Pirates of the caribbean..he's supposed to be coming back. so yes..bootstrap bill is still alive..lol.

I don't know.. Haven't seen it in a while but didn't Jack sparrow break the curse somehow? I forgot how but I think he did huh I'm gonna go watch it now lol
