Yes, women do. It's like why bother if you're already going to get rejected. Most women would rather just skip the situation and dream about what could have been. THen again more times then not, the guy that is really good looking often has nothing else to often.

In my experience...really good looking guys lack intelligence and interest. The uglier the better sometimes in that respect. Pretty boys also seem to spend more attention on themselves...and women need attention. I know few women who want a man who is prettier than her! We luck out when we score with both, intelligent and good looking but these guys usually don't know how hot they are and that...is hot.

It depends on the good looking man. If his attitude makes him unapproachable than most women will not risk the rejection. But if he seems not to be driven only by his looks and the woman has high self-esteem than she might take the leap. Only thing that beats a failure is a try (something like that).

Personally ..... I'm a good looking woman, so I wouldn't avoid a good looking guy thinking he wouldn't be interested.
So to answer you're question, if a woman doesn't feel like she's attractive enough for a good looking guy, she probably would avoid him. Whereas, a confident female wouldn't.
