If America is over in Iraq for the oil, why are gas prices at an all time high.?
If Bush is so concerned about oil why is he spearheading a alternative energy campain that eliminates oil from the energy equation. Wake up America.

The truth is we would have went over there whether there was oil or not.The fact that it was there was nothing more than a bonus. There isnt enough oil in Iraq to come close to the monetary expenditure that the US has made for the militaries ongoing campaign. If it werent for these muslim freaks of nature that blow up themselves and there own people we would have been home by now.WAKE UP!

The oil consipiracy holds about as much water as the 9/11 consipiracy.
Democrats will often cling to any excuse they "hear" about for being against the Bush administration. It's a shame some are even rooting for their own country to lose in Iraq.
I think the problem is us. We don't want to drive smaller, more fuel efficient cars. We want Lincoln Navigators and Hummers, you know vehicles that get 8 miles to the gallon.
While the government is working on alternative fuel sources, I think that a premium tax should be put on these gas guzzlers. I drive my 4 cylinder mini-van that can barely get out of it's own way, but on the road I get 25-27 miles to the gallon.
We need to figure out a better way to heat our houses. We may not be able to enjoy our boats and snowmobiles like we used to (whoops I have never had these things).
We have many governments in the world that are run by tyrants. Castro nearly collapsed our economy in Cuba. Yet we walked away. South Africa has had serious problems for decades. Yet we did nothing. Korea is another hotbed of trouble. Yet we do nothing.
Iraq was under control and being carefully monitored since Bushes father invaded it.
We are not in Iraq for the oil. To me it is just another hopeless war similar to that fought in Vietnam.
Perhaps he was just trying to fulfill his fathers legacy, finishing what he had started.
I believe he miss used the power granted him by congress for his war on terrorism. Now that war is taking a back seat to the one in Iraq.. How sad. It is getting harder to say "I'm proud to be an American"
The Iraqi authorities and shortly the oil agencies bidding to drill it. I see no situation with that. quickly Iraq (a pair of years) will be generating better oil and declaring grant, and that is a competent element.
