You know, the little underwear women wear that are similar to biking shorts but wayyyyyyyyy smaller :o) Does anyone know why they are called "boy shorts"? Maybe because they attract the boys.....I don't know. Any suggestions?

You are thinking of todays standards for how boys wear their shorts. These shorts are so-called boy shorts not by todays standards in shorts, but to the type of shorts wore by boys, as well as men in the 70's and 80's.

Maybe because some of them kind of resemble boxer briefs, only way shorter. I think that was the intention of them at first, but of course they had to make they sexy!!!

They don't have a really girly cut - they're more like a shorter version of guys' boxer briefs. I think that's more or less where the name comes from.

Probably some guy designer created them because he liked them. Don't forget it's a mans world!!!
