wireless networking question?

I am wondering if the computer that has the hookup to the cable and has the router to which all the other computers are connected wirelessly ALSO has to have a wireless adapter or card, whether internal or USB. Currently, the desktop that I'm thinking of only has an ethernet card.

IF you want to hook up your computer to the wireless router and if you want it to be wireless, then yes, you will need a wireless adapter for your computer. You can get something like this:

It is in a form of an adapter card or a usb. You can just stick it into your desktop and it will become wireless and you can connect it to your wireless router.

No, the main computer is going to be hard-wired to the router and modem. All other computers will be wirelessly connected.

No, most all wireless routers have ethernet 10/100-base-T connections in addition to providing Wireless access.

Just plug the computer with the ethernet card into one of the ports on the WiFi router and you'll be good to go.
