Does anyone know how the Praxis is scored?

I'm taking the Praxis I tomorrow and I keep seeing these scores for passing grades in various states which are like 173-175.  However, I'm not clear on what that corresponds to on the raw scale. 

 I'm taking the reading practice test and my grammer is a little poor since I've been reading non-native english speakers for the past few years.  (I've been an applied physicist for the past few years)

Is it a scaled score?  How will I know if I have a passable score from these study guides?  I'm using the Kaplan book.

The test results have sections which show your number of correct versus number of total questions, followed by the middle 50% range. The scaled score is between 100 and 200 on most tests.

It is usually score on the number of correct answers, so if you answer a question wrong, you are not penalized, so the best bet in taking the test is to answer as many as possible, that way you have a better chance at getting some right.  How it corresponds on a raw scale, I do not know.  Try the ets website, that might help you out.  Good luck.

Just take the test.  It isn't really as hard as they make it out to be.  Doing the study guides seemed to help others, although I didn't do them.  I just recommend preparing yourself the best that you can and putting your best foot forward.
