(rant) Yahoo Answers is Ridiculous?

I have had 2 accounts banned from Yahoo answers. 1 for supposed fraud; 1 for supposed personal conversation i.e. asking for dates. Now I've gotten abuse notices for supposed fraud on this account.

Take a look at my Q&A. I'd say they are pretty legit, would you agree?

Now I concede that THIS question is technically in violation of the guidelines, but this situation is RIDICULOUS!

To all the people making snide remarks, here are a couple examples:

Question: Should supreme Court Judges be elected, rather than appointed, and have specified terms for that position?

Details of Violation: That is the whole point of checks and balances

Reason of Violation:Chatting or Private Correspondence :
-------------
Question: If a cop doesn't show up and I have a red light violation ticket, what should I do?

Details of Violation: if the cop does not show, you should plead not guilty. it's your word against nobody.

Reason of Violation:Chatting or Private Correspondence :
------

"Actually, I can't agree that your questions all look legit. Many of them in fact look like chatting to me. Unless you put the question in the Polls and Surveys category, questions such as "what is your favorite ice cream flavor" and "who likes <whatever>" are considered chatting. I'm surprised they haven't been reported."

--- ok point taken. but there is a violation for miscategorized. wouldn't it be miscategorized then?

more examples:

Question: if u were some1 important to the world, what would u change in it?

Details of Violation: I'd distribute wealth better in the U.S. I wouldn't make it socialist-like by any means, but teachers would get paid more... tax-loopholes for the rich would be closed. I'd aim for a larger middle class

Reason of Violation:Chatting or Private Correspondence :
-------------

Question: how do you burn out pixels on a plasma tv? plasma tv?

Details of Violation: leave it on for a long time. crush them. or hold a strong electro-magnet up to them

Reason of Violation:Chatting or Private Correspondence :

i totally agree with YOU. All of the questions you posted aren't chatting with other people. Oh wait, of course you're going to chat with other people! How else are you suppose to get your questions answered?

I don't know about the issue of fraud, but asking anyone for a date (or even just asking anyone to chat) is a definite violation of the guidelines.

i don't see anything wrong with the questions you asked. But then don't get to see the questions from your other accounts. Plus maybe they are talking about your answers as well? Not that i am saying you have bad answers just saying that could be a possibility depending on what you said. Something to look at maybe.
And if you really are innocent (as you seem to look so far anyway) i think they have a way you can dispute them giving you a violation. At least i see other people saying they are disputing theirs so i am sure they do somewhere.
And if you are breaking the rules then these are the consequences you have to pay. Sorry sounds harsh i know, but we all have to follow them.

I did check out your Q&A for your current account. And I see no violations. It is your PAST accounts in question so get over it and move on. No one can tell you of something without evidence one way or the other. Apparently someone at Yahoo found reason to terminate those accounts according to their guidelines.

Obviously you found a way to get on Yahoo Answers anyway to rant about NOT being on Yahoo Answers!
