English to Spanish?

Hello all! I have a question about a few translations. Different translators give me different answers. 3 phrases...

Are you married?

I think you need a divorce.

and..

If I spoke more spanish, I would take you to dinner.

►It should normally be ¿Eres Casada/Casado? .
Though the marriage is a temporary form, the helping verb used is of permanent type i.e. eres instead of estas(exceptional case).

Hola!!
Te doy unos ejemplos para que sea más fácil...
I give you some examples to make it easier...

Podrías preguntar, Could you ask?: ¿Claudia es casada?
Contestación, Answer: si es casada, ella esta casada con Charles

En cualquiera de las dos se entiende perfectamente, solo que si yo utilizara el verbo "esta" tendría que añadir un complemento, porque si no lo agregara, sonaría un poco agresivo...
In both sentences is perfectly undestanding, only if I used the verb "esta" I'd have to add a complement because if I would not, it sounds a bit agressive.

Pregunta, Ask: ¿Claudia es casada?
Contestación, Answer: si, ella está casada (y suena como ¿porque preguntas???), (it sounds like: why do you ask??)

I'm apologizes for my inglish
ok
Saludos

►Creo que necesitas un divorcio.

and

►Si yo podría hablar mejor el español, te invitaría a una cena.

(Inviting someone to a dinner is a better expression than taking someone to/for a dinner).

At least you have started noticing the fact that translators are crap. If you use them (as the person abovo), you'll sound retarded.
Here they are:
"¿Estás casado?", if asked to a man. If to a woman, change "casado" for "casada".
"Creo que necesitas un divorcio"
"Si hablara español, te llevaría a cenar".

Are you married: ¿Estás casado? (or for female, ¿Estás casada?)
Pronounce: eh-STOSS kah-SAH-doh? / eh-STOSS kah-SAH-dah?

I think you need a divorce: Creo que necesitas divorciarte. (Literally: I believe you need to divorce.)
Pronounce: CRAY-oh kay nay-say-SEE-toss dee-voor-see-ARR-tay.

If I spoke more spanish, I would take you to dinner.
Si podría hablar español, te invitaría a cenar. (Literally: If I were able to speak spanish, I would invite/treat you to dinner.)
Pronounce: See poh-DREE-ah ah-BLAR ay-spahn-YOLE, tay een-vee-tah-REE-ah ah say-NAR.

Hope these help. Besides getting different translations from online translators, you'll get different translations from real people, too, because everyone has his/her own way of saying things. BUT, at least there's a chance they'll make sense if you get it from a fluent speaker!!
