Would prefer Brooklyn or Manhattan location. Already tried Funky Monkey and Banana Split in a carton, and it just isn't doing it for my fiancee. I need someplace that sells banana icecream without other stuff thrown in it :)

check il laboratorio del gelato on orchard st. it's personally made by the founder of Ciao Bella (who sold the company years ago, but came back in 2002 to make ice cream once again in nyc.)
his flavors are extremely pure. he also makes a banana flavor, and i believe it is one of a dozen flavors always available in pints at his store (other flavors is made to order, or limited quantities because he has a tiny shop and has to make everything himself.)
btw, pints are $9.
