No they cannot.You were they're responsibility when you were brought into this world.Sounds like you came into some money and you're parents want a share of it?They shouldn't ask their child for any money under no means.I don't care if you got a million dollars.If they need money though.You should have enough respect for them to share the wealth.Pay a few house payments for them or buy them a nice car if you came into money.Something they need.They have provided for you all you're life.If I hit big that's what I would do.Don't be greedy with it.If you got plenty.You're parents probably struggled for years and may still be.If you didn't come into big money and they're just wanting a hand me out.Don't sound like very good parents to me.I've never asked my parents for anything.My mom barrowed a couple of hundred dollars from me a few times when she was broke.And I told her I didn't want it back.I feel like I owe them allot more than that.And If I could I'd give them anything....Show more
