iMac Video inputs?
I want to see if I can use the iMac as a display for my other computer, so I don't have to use a separate monitor. Not enough desktop space for two 20" screens.

I'm afraid the short and simple answer is, no. You cannot use the iMac screen as a monitor for another machine.

The VGA connector interior is for feeding the outfitted-in reveal screen; it would not have any variety of video enter. in the adventure that your iMac would not have a FireWire (IEEE1394) connector, you're able to wish a USB video capture gadget like the Hauppage MyTV or My capture. yet beware for those that require USB 2.0... your iMac purely has USB a million.a million that's slower.
