How can I view component video (best resolution) from a game console on my iMac (no built-in video inputs)?
I already know I can display composite and S-Video output from my PS2 / Xbox to my iMac using my miniDV camcorder as a media convertor. The firewire input can then be displayed on the iMac using a freeware app like Vidi or even just something like iMovie. However, I'm trying to get the best resolution out of my console to the iMac, which means I need to use component cables. However, even component-to-VGA converters like http://www.ramelectronics.net/html/KD-VA5.htm only output to VGA, which I can't figure out how to display on my iMac. Anyone have a clever solution? Note: Since the solution I'm looking for is mostly for gaming, the solution needs to provide a non-laggy video signal. =] Thanks!
Are there USB/Firewire-based devices that can accept component video input? That would solve my problem too. It can either work directly on Macs or through Parallels. Thanks!
I really need a solution that allows for COMPONENT (Y/Pr/Pb) input. I can't find any product listed so far that does that... Thanks!

use parralles and a tv hdtv tuner.

Try to use a good video converter. For instance, you can use a Miglia TV, plug in a video game console, then record the video game footage and import it into iMovie (or any available video editor) for further editing.
