Anyone else having trouble with their Xbox 360?

Specifically, 'hardware failure'?

Yes I had the three flashing red lights, frozen screens, and eventually the thing wouldn't even turn on. Get ready for a ridiculously long hassle with microsoft....Here's what I did. After talking to customer service several times and being told I would need to pay anywhere from 130-160 plus S&H, I informed them I was contacting the BBB (better business bureau)---I only owned the console for 7 months and it already broke??? After I complained to the BBB, they contacted microsoft, who contacted me. I told them the only way to resolve my complaint would be if they paid for shipping and fixed it for free. And they did. Works fine now, except I have a refurbished console. They are supposed to come out with titanium chips (the ones they were using are melting causing the problem) in January, so if you start taking care of it now, you will probably get the new chip which shouldn't melt. Hope this helps! Good luck!

My XBOX 360 began giving me serious hardware issues earlier this week and now I have to send it to Microsoft to get it repaired. Fortunately, Microsoft just announced that they've upgraded everyone's warranty on the XBOX 360 for a whole year. Originally the warranty was only for 90 days, which in my opinion totally is useless. The link below talks about the change in warranty for the XBOX360.

Do you get the dreaded 3 red lights on the "ring of light" part of the XBOX 360? If so, that's the tell tale sign that its a hardware problem.

Now if I can only find my receipt...
