One of the character is Elizabeth taylor. I don't know who is the male lead.I can remember this scene where the male lead character or hero of this movie enters into a party. Nobody was talking to him or looking at him. So he was walkning around the house. suddenly he found this room with a Billiard Table. And he began to play. He plays a very tough shoot with a back hand and Elizabeth taylor enters into the room and says,"wow"!

Please can anyone tell me the name of this movie?

The young man playing billiards is Montgomery Clift.  1951 film.
Elizabeth Taylor's evening gown, with bare shoulders, became a fashion rage of the early 1950's.
Name of the film.....  "summer" something...suddenly last summer?  A place in the Sun?  I'm going to search for it now..
