I heard the announcement today about Barack Obama, and I must say it was compelling and concerning. The evidence was presented and it seems at this point that the information is indeed true. Mr. Obama has neither confirmed nor denied the new information, and I'm not sure it will even affect his run for the presidency at all. What do you think?

What is it? Another smear tactic? We all make mistakes regardless of what it is. I don't think he's invaded any nations lately, or has received any kickbacks of any kind, nor has he had any extramarital affairs (not that I really care), nor has he beaten his wife. If it's drug use, big deal. Clinton did it, Gore did it, Bush did it, Kerry did it, Edwards did it, Nixon should have done it. Reagan was a divorcee, Guiliani had his mistress move in to Gracie Mansion while still married to his wife. Willie Nelson smoked pot on top of the White House roof during the Carter administration! The sky didn't fall. There was no stock market crash. So what's your point?
PS At the time he attended an "Islamic" elementary school, it was neither radical or Islamic. That's already old news.

Those of us that aren't capable of reading your mind are left to assume your intended news story. I assume that you are referring to him having attended a "radical Islamic school" at age seven.
To this, one must stop and think. Personally, I think "Who cares?" Not to say that nobody should, but rather, would a man who's been a senator in the US and deeply entrenched in politics be thrown to the gutter because he attended a religious school, which subsequently was determined to be rather un-radical in nature, as well as un-religiously affiliated? [1]
I say we investigate the information, but on a factual basis. Sure, there's always that chance that he's a seed, planted by Osama (OMG, did anybody ELSE just realize the similarity of those names? [and I don't want to hear about it... I'm joking]) But more likely, he is not. But as prudent Americans, we're obligated to investigate and find out. But we must do so with the goal of finding the truth, not finding, (or fabricating) the dirt.
