The answer I received was wrong & ended up being the star answer, since it was the only answer. Wrong! We should be allowed to mark them as totally wrong, when they are. Is there a way to do this that I'm not aware of?

While the Question is Open you can give it a "Thumbs Down"
The Asker can also comment on the responses by "Adding Details" (scroll over the pencil icon on the button bar),
There's also the "No Best Answer" option that appears during voting, but since anyone can vote, you have no control.
Once the "Best Answer" has been chosen, anyone can add comments by clicking "Add/View Comments".

The questioner has to determine for themselves right and wrong.,.
think about it... if we had the power to mark wrong... then what would stop someone from wrongly marking a right answer wrong...

I don't know if there is or not, but when that happened to Me, and I only had one response that I knew was wrong, I just deleted the question.
